***OKIES in the BYC III ***

No Blanchard auction. Suppose to be one in Yukon. Several of us out going to try it out. They had an ad on Craigslist, so you can find info there. It will be my first time going.
Blanchard will give you a number in advance if you let them no you are coming, so you don't have to show up @ noon. Chicks don't sell in order so lot number doesn't matter though.
Newcastle city wide yard sale is this weekend. Think a few other cities have theres too.

I am going to try out the Yukon auction as well. Maybe I will see you guys there.

Uh oh hail core coming for us...oh please let it slide further south a bit!
Goats are such cutie pies! We have a senior citizen fainting goat...he is starting to have trouble getting around...but he is sweet and is our barn buddy for the horses. He enjoys his mares and if they have their heads down to eat he nibbles their ears...and they LET him! Every time I see that it makes me belly laugh!
MJ safe travels to ya and happy belated birthday!

Jcat the Uptown Grocery in edmond probably wont have food labels like whole foods does...just wanted to be sure u knew before traveling there...I liked it though and found some of their regular grocery items to be cheaper than walmart...which is saying something as it is a high end grocry store...we like Sprouts too and visit it when we are over that way. Although there is a new Sprouts in Edmond too...which would be easier for us to get to.

poultry and bees thank you very much. i though the dalias were peonies.
i was going to kill that bush and found yestreday accidentally the flower. i just need to investigate the removal and best place to plant it.
thanks a lot.

dahlias are annuals that grow from a tuber or seed.....depending on where you are the tubers must be dug and stored over the winter or they freeze.
peonies are perennial growing from a root structure each year. some row well in sun, some better in semi shady areas. They can be divided and transplanted. If you divide it, it is best to do it when NOT in bloom. The best time is lat fall after the foliage has died down or in early spring before the shoots break into foliage.

POOPS is coming soon!
If you have items you want to add to the raffle, be sure to PM me or CayuseRanch. the current list of items is posted on the first page of the POOPS thread under events.
Looks like there will be lots of birds to choose from too....surely a variety to please everyone.
The egg contest last year was a lot of fun for the children...and the adults enjoyed it too.
Suggestion...bring boxes to carry your birds home.

Misting here and it is cold...brrrrrrr.
