***OKIES in the BYC III ***

LOL! actually you get used to it- tiny crows- but then i have been hearing Sonny's crow, that boy is still at the praticing stage, deep crow- i suspect when he really gets it down, no one will miss who it is-

LOL..I can imagine there is a huge difference. But it is nice to know that Sonny is starting to feel better.

They are cute, but if you have to keep them in the house, don't the roosters wake you up crowing every morning?  Just asking, don't know if my family would like being awaken from crowing inside every morning...lol.  Thanks :)

Channing doesn't crow in the mornings, he waits til the light is turned on. The most darling little crows, too. I adore him.
Edit: LOTS less noise than a parrot! That kind of screeching would drive me out of my mind. I've got Finches, Canaries, a Cockatiel and a pair of Parakeets also. Those birds are way noisier than my little Serama boy.

Well, I meant in a sense of it will make some degree of noise and if parrots can be tolerated than house chicken should be a piece of cake. Glad the caged birds are louder than the rooster.

But if I had one of those in the house I'd rather have a hen than a rooster.

Look at this snow! I'm just south of Guthrie and once it started it didn't take long to get out of control. I was supposed to pick up 2 birds from Kass today. She called me and told me to look outside and we decided on postponing it a week :-o The snow wasn't even supposed to start until this afternoon. We spent yesterday settling birds in for the coming weather and passing out bags of shavings. All the babies under 6 months have heaters &/or heat lamps, most are in the room on the deck. I used to love this kind of weather so much, now I dread it and hate it because my birds are cold.

Look at this brilliant idea for a large scale chicken feeder! So going to do something like this... I much prefer feeding weekly than daily especially when it's cold!
