***OKIES in the BYC III ***

There are two other news stories on Penny Chicken and Roo on the menu after the first video shows...such a great story! Thank you Betsy!

Eggs are pipping this morning...a day late. Sister-in-law is having a total hip replacement today so will be heading into OKC a bit later this morning. She fell two days ago in her kitchen. We have two cows in the back pasture due to pop and one first timer in the front lot and one at the vet. I hae my voice back again...well almost.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Just shifted Sonny and the girls to the tractor, i think that will work really nice, exceptif sonny gets much bigger he won't fit through the door!

Did someone say blue chicks?? Here is one picked up yesterday. It is a feather legged bantam I'm thinking Cochin but not sure. It's beak has 2 different colors on it that looks pretty cool.

You can use paraffin wax or beeswax to seal the cracks and keep bacteria out. If the egg doesn't already have bacteria in it that will work, I've done it before. I use a lighter to melt a bit of beeswax since I have it from my bees and spread it over the crack with a butter knife.

@Loriemarler they're ADORABLE! I'd say Cochin on that black baby. She'll be beautiful!

Does anybody in the Tulsa area have pygmy goats for sale or know anybody that does? I need a baby girl, preferably just out of weaning stage.

I can't wait to see all you great peeps tomorrow at the Coweta auction! I'll be taking my grandbabies, so if there's something you absolutely have to have be sure to let us know so we won't bid against you.

Just a heads up though... if my granddaughter wants something specific I'm going to make her bid on it so you'll be the one bidding against the six year old girl with tears in her eyes!
MaryJo twisted my arm and blackmailed me and is holding eggs hostage so I will go to the auction tonight... No actually she said she was going and I begged to go along!! So we will be there.
That is so not fair you are using your granddaughter to get chickens for you.. But good idea, now if my daughter will just have me a grandchild...

I need a support group!! I just ran in to Atwoods to return the clear heat bulb and get a red one. I swear! Well they announced that the chicks just arrived so I ran to the tanks lol and watched the lady unload them. I picked up the only 4 bantams with feathered feet. Taking them home right now lol.
Hi my name is Rebecca and I have a chicken addiction.....

can't go near a feedstore this time of year....
I have been avoiding Atwoods like there is a plague sign posted..
