***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Went to the Coweta Auction and met Mitzi/Ksane and her husband Scott, very nice people. Got my Serama's that Mitzi got from June, and absolutely love them, they seem so sweet, and I am sure the more I handle them the sweeter they will be. That was my first Poultry Auction, and it was crazy there, so many people, and birds..etc. Couldn't even here the auctioneer at all. Seen lots of birds I would love to have, but glad I left after I got my birds from Mitzi.

We didn't stay either. I can't believe all the people there! Some of the birds didn't look real healthy and I'd have been scared to buy them anyway. David, you're a wonderful person and I know the Seramas will have a great home with you.
I did get my Barred Rocks back from Coral-thank you for bringing them! Someone accidentally took one of the green zip-tied ones that day (Charlie?) and left a blue zip tied one so I brought back my 4. I do love these boys already and am so glad Coral went to the trouble of bringing them.
Kyz, did you get the Dorkings?

updated pic on Sonny and the girls in the tractor, the girls went upstairs to roost and poor Sonny was frantic looking for them, so picked him up and put him in the side - poor guy... he is so darn big!

One of my new chicks may be in trouble

This one. I have been watching them today, she appears to be getting weaker, and is not eating, has not eaten today that I have seen, and no evidence in her crop that she was when I wasn't looking.

Nothing wrong no sick acting, no bloody or odd poop. Until today or yesterday was eating like a pig right along w/ the others. Hope I'm wrong here and she is better b/c I think she is a girl.

Just got home from the Coweta Auction- no I didn't stay to the end LOL it will probably run until 2-3 AM. They weren't even done with eggs yet at 9:10 PM.... there were A LOT of birds there!!!! But little ones needed to get to bed- and my pocketbook couldn't take any more after the eggs! I neglected to bribe someone to hold my hubby's hand down....

But I did bring him home with me when the eggs were done this time!

I saw Dusti, Coral, and Kelly sitting in the center across the room. Kelly, my Hannah was so cute as we were leaving, "Wait I have to say goodbye to my new friend!" and off she ran. She and your granddaughter hit it off pretty well, they played rock paper scissors, thumb war, and some clapping song game that I didn't know. And I visited for just a brief minute with MJ before I had to bow out with my sleepy kids.

Off to set my 50 million eggs... not really but it feels like it....

kass, will the baby eat boiled egg?
Robin, glad you're on. I received my baby SS chicks today. I'm not real impressed w/ their overall health. Anyway last night u posted about feeding just a little raw egg yolk. I had never heard of that one. I've always done the vitamon thing. Anyway, one in particular isn't eating or drinking much and just stays snuggled under the stuffed animal. How do I do the egg yolk. I need to do it now!

Mitzi, I didn't get the Dorkings because I left right after the eggs... which was enough. I picked up a half dozen Blue Isbar eggs and a dozen Blue Red English Orpington eggs. I sure hope they're all what they're supposed to be and are fertile.

Rinda, I'm so glad our two girls could spend time together! Isa said she was so happy to make a new friend.
