***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Well we lost a duck hen in the storm last night- we have a lonely boy- so either i need some duck hens or he needs a home with a duck flock, its been a heck of a weird summer
Sorry to hear about the loss Robin.
What kind of duck is he? I have some Cayuga cross hens.

Hello from OKC! I am new to BYC *and* the chicken-raising life. I now have 12 BLRW chicks (<1 week to 7 weeks old), two silkie chicks and am getting some more silkie hatchlings this weekend. I have definitely been bit by the bug!

I am having issues with my oldest gen. She is about 7 weeks old. She is being lethargic not active at all and when I looked at her she had what seemed to be an air bubble on her chest. Please help.

Can you describe the air bubble in more detail or post a photo?
Is her crop full or emptying?

I did some research and the air bubble is her crop and it is full. I secluded her and gave her nothing but grit and Apple cider vinegar with water

Welcome to BYC and to the Okie thread.
There are several Facebook pages that include Texas and Oklahoma with local notices about poultry for sale.
