But, doesn't it go dark when it gets to temp... If it goes dark and the sensor then sensing that it is dark causes another heat source to kick on, won't it get too hot?

That could cause an issue too, lol....that is why I havent used bulbs in the ones I have built....

As far as bulb going out, there is two, but like was said earlier, it is easy to tell if it aint on. I worry more about our sorry electric service, every time the wind blows or a gillon other things our power goes out.

You can also put two bulbs in it, and wire it to where if a bulb blows it opens a second circuit to fire up the second bulb....my father is an electrician and explained it much better than that, but thats the basics of it....

Guy, I will also be very interested in seeing how the bulb bator work, I have several fans, wafer/switch setups, I had considered making my own bator/hatcher, and selling the GQF's I have....I think I can insulate them a little better than what a GQF is insulated...

old*cowboy :

got it, cool looking hatcher, have you used it much

No I havent used it to hatch, I got the GQF's before I got eggs...I have ran it and it seems to hold a good temp...I will be bringing it to poops

Has 2 100 watt bulbs and 2 fans one set on top other on bottom.

Again, very nice. You can be our test pilot. Let us know how they work.

Buster, what a nice way of saying "you can be our guinea pig." I'll have to remember that.
