I never pickled an egg but DD really wants to have some pickled eggs. She has never tried one, but is way curious about them. I have heard some say they just drop the eggs in left over pickle juice, and put in the fridge for a wk or so.

I really like them in Balsamic vinegar.

Tuesday's is Indian Taco day in Cement. So went to get a yummy taco @ mail some packages. It seems the skunk sprayed right by my van because it stinks!! I hate skunks!

If you enjoy balsamic vinager- I have found one I LOVE. I will eat bread dipped in it. I could prob drink it straight from the bottle.
Napa valley naturals cherry wood aged balsamic cherry wood aged for 18 yrs. think it is about $8 a bottle from azure standard. They have the same brand at whole foods, but it hasn't been aged very long. When I have a tomato surplus in summer (not this yr) I make bruschetta with this vinager @ least once a wk. I do LOVE it!

Michael glad to hear you are okay, spider bites are nothing to mess around with.

Glad to hear so many people are enjoying having a mini rooster. I love my little rooster, even though mine was mad at me this morning and pecked me until I picked him up. Then he was happy. I'm telling you everyone needs a lap roo, they are so cool.

When he has a name I will let you all know.

Still offering anyone who wants to come to my place for Thanksgiving. Having all the traditional fixing with added vegetarian items. Sorry pies are store bought this year, I just have not felt like making one. Dinner will start @ 5 pm but food will be served all evening. I am going to have a selection of movies to watch, sorry no cable or tv stations so no football.

Are there any swaps/auctions in the OKC area this week/weekend? I'm from Ks and would love to find some new birds. I'm wanting some Cochins Lf or bantam, bb reds and blk Old English. I wish I could make it for the big show in Shawnee in a couple weeks but we will be showing cattle that weekend.
