My 1st bird auction (vs all the livestock auctions I've been to) was sooo addicting. There was quite a few from the list there, but I have to tell ya-I always enjoy seeing Mike D most

And I got the most beautiful Faverolles boy and girl plus 3 Faverolles hens to go with the one lone hen I've already got. I couldn't believe there were even Faverolles there! I love these guys. I adore my Cochins that I hatched because I hatched them. But if I could only keep one breed it'd be Faverolles. I'd been supposed to get a pair at Shawnee and the breeders birds got sick and then the hen died so that put an end to that. I'm so glad to have this pair plus the extra hens,
I got 2 hens that I'm not sure yet what they are and a really pretty Modern Bantam pair, too.
Got to see both Muesky's Dachshunds, Stella could be a therapy dog. Very well behaved and so friendly to everyone.
I can't wait til the next auction.

Doodle, Carla didn't have to try to sell the goats..... Cute goats sell themselves. Now I have to sell dh on a new goat pen to keep the buckling & weather in, hopefully he is able to tackle it in a timely manner.

Those are some pretty birds you scored tonight, do you plan on hatching lots of eggs from them?

If I can figure out a way to part with them once they're born here lol Otherwise I'll just end up parting with the eggs instead

Not yet, I am almost afraid to, I could have lived the rest of life without knowing about some of the other fine canned goods you have sent me home with, now that I know they exist it's a whole new world. i am afraid If I try them they will be like the rest of your fine foods, and I will have 5 acres of Jalepenos, 5 acres of Zuchini, and other stuff taking up the other 2 acres with the house and birds.

Remember when you plant zuchini that they grow big very fast. It's the big ones that make great pickles....and lots of them.

The big ones make great spaghetti too.

Start looking now to find someone that can mentor you. It is really difficult to figure out everything you need but is better when you can ask someone or see it in person. If all goes well you will be able to see mine & I might know alittle. Poultry & bee's has been putting up with my questions for a couple of years now.

what you don't realize yet is that I try to be a multi-task enabler - poultry AND bees

You will set them out this early??? Maybe that iis why mine never get big enough.
