Tell m,e about planting leggy tomatoes in a trench on their side. How do you get the top to bend up toward the sky? Do you leave the very top uncovered and it will correct its direction itself? I am only familiar with burying leggy tomatoes 2/3 or more in the ground, which sometimes makes for a very deep hole.Anyone interested in some Amish Paste tomatoes. They grew kinda leggy & don't look as strong as my others. They are big, just not real thick stems. Should do fine if you plant them in a trench on there side. I was going to toss them, but feel guilty! My sister took some home last wk & they are doing good for her so far. I have several trays of them plenty to share with anyone that wants them @ Blanchard tomorrow or I could even bring them to Newcastle.
