***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Erin, gorgeous pictures & wonderful kids! Onyx is way cool looking and your son looks so far away from home!
Cathie, Durasban used to be what we always recommended at the animal clinic for ticks in the yard.
Kass, I'm sorry about your birth mother. It's hard losing a part of yourself no matter the circumstances.
Christina, I can't wait to see pictures of the leghorns once they're healthy, did you take pictures when you 1st got them? It seems the birds around here are starting to molt, their feathers sure got ratty looking the past few months. The dark ones look bleached from the sun, too. I can't wait til they get their new feathers and look pretty again.
Has anyone heard from Okla? I used to really look forward to his daily posts at the end of the day. If anyone has his email address maybe you can email him and tell him he's missed.
Mike, I'm so glad to see you posting here again!

I did not spend much time w/ my birth mother as a child, but did try to get to know her as an adult. She was a very childlike woman who always had a smile and a kind word, and even though she was treated very harshly by some in her family she kept joy in her heart. I admired that about her most. Here is a pic of us on our last outing together. This was after her suposedly life ending stroke, shortly after this pic was taken her health deteriorated to the point that she couldn't go on outings any longer.

Kass, she looks like one of the happiest people. I've always looked in awe at people who can have such great attitudes when so many things are against them, too. That must have given her so much piece of mind getting to have you in her life.

Kass so sorry about the loss of your mom.

Mitzi think I may have snapped a few pics with my phone, buster posted pics & the birds I have were in those pics. Told Taron last wk we really need to get some pictures.
