dachsunds, How far are you from Knoxville. My kids are there tonight. They are on vacation with their grandma. My daughter had her picture taken in front of Pat Summit's office. Not sure how they got in with it being a weekend and all.
They are heading to Memphis tomorrow.

Well, I got this email a few days ago ... and I immediately thought of Stimpy ... but I decided not to personalize it .... although the guy was probably Stimpy ..... except he's not that old

An elderly man had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond, fixed up really nice, along with some picnic tables and some apple and peach trees. The pond was shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

When he came closer, he realized it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end to shield themselves.

One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"

The old man frowned and replied, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked."

Holding the bucket up he said, "I'm here to feed the alligator."

Old men may move slow but can still think fast.

Carla, I met a guy from Norman tonight that was selling blue, feather legged Marans chicks. They were from the Jean Wade line I think he may have PO'd them. I am glad I didn't take any chicks, they were really cheep tonight. Sorry for the pun.
He also sold some really pretty Rhode Island Red Bantams.

Oh, the hawks & owls keep all the wild birds away. I wonder what would keep tortoises out of our garden though. Well, we at least think it's a tortoise that's taking bites out of the zucchini squash ... sampling a few here & there ... little chunks missing from an otherwise perfect zucchini. Oh well, we'll just have to cut those ones up for our birds. Our dogs keep everything else out of the garden.

Howdy Monty, I am still up, got a story for ya!!!

There was a chicken farmer down around Choctaw Oklahoma and the IRS thought he was makin too much money and not payin his help fair wages so they sent out an investigator to check him out, Good afternoon says the agent, we understand you have some hired hands that are not being paid fairly, can you explain to me who and what you are paying your help! Well says the farmer, I got me a hired hand that has been here about three years and I pays him $200 a week plus free room and board, and I gots me a cook and I pay her a $100 a week and free room and board, oh and then there's the half with that does 98% of the work around here, don't get any time off and is generally not given much respect at all, he gets $10 a week, pays his own room and board, I buy haim a fith of whiskey every Friday night and he occationally sleeps with my wife. THATS the one we want to talk to, the half wit!!! Well sir that would be me! says the chicken farmer!!!!

Well I thought it was funny!!! HAHAHAHAH

hello everyone havnt been on in a few days took awhile to catch up.prices are sure down everywhere.sold a few today just not bringing much.the mexican people buyin them to eat is all ive sold.Has anyone set a forsure date for a fall POOPS.ill be interested in all the roosters again .they are the only thing i have going right now.i have about 250 young chickens right now that are about to eat me out of house an home..i have 2 new big pens up one 20 ft long an another 30 ft i have 6 ft chain link with 4 ft chickens around the bottoms an gamebird netting over the top.had varmit troubles been gettin along of young stuff that dont go in at night.weve caught 4 possums so far now just need to catch the coyotes that are hittin me.everyone stay cool

Big Okie, Why are people buying the roosters to eat these days. When I took stuff out to the flea market several years back, you couldn't hardly give ar ooster away. Even a big nice one. Now some of them bring more than the hens.
The RIR's at Blanchard tonight sure did.
Why do your buyers prefer roosters over hens? Is just because of the price?
As for a Fall POOPS, Al and I have been talikng!
