Roll tide???? They still have a team??? I thought they gave up....

Yep, they sure do. I'm gonna fry some whole catfish yearlings, and slow cook some grits, just for the special occassion. If there were such a thing as fresh raw oysters here, I would be shucking right now.

Beans, Beans, Beans, etc. etc. etc.

Hey Everyone! I know I'm new, andI dont talk around here much. But, Someone dumped two wonderful boxer mixed pups on me last week and I cant find anyone to take them. I dont want them to be fought or anything, just need a good home. PM if you would like to have one! They are both male, not neutered.

Hello Everybody,
I know lately I have been ninja posting (post then go away) but with starting back to school it has been really hectic as it has been for everyone.

Ok so I would like to make an offer for POOPS. I know we are going to have a lot of kids at POOPS and we want to keep them busy and let them have fun. As I mentioned before I would love to do a book reading for the kids. The librarian at my school graciously found a bunch of picture books about chickens and of course I have some my self.

I could also downloaded and out a bunch of chicken, turkey and peacock coloring pages and can bring a big box of crayons for the kids to color, if this sounds like something the kids (kid at heart counts as well) would like.

I was also thinking about making a couple of POOPS coloring book to donate for the raffle, if that would be something that someone maybe interested in.

Just let me know. Also if I could get a rough count of how many kids are coming I may be able to pull together a couple more activities.

I do not feel like I have done much to get this wonderful event going and this is the least I can do. If anyone has any suggestions or concerns, etc pm me and let me know.

Ninja out!
Rebecca

I diddn't know you had a freshman?

When you have time I need a cliffs notes moment on Pigeons 101. mainly housing and feed.

Saw some oxymoron pigeons at the swap mee this morning. They were big and beautiful.
They are called Runts Giants. Now isn't that an oxymoron if you ever heard one? But I did think they were pretty.

Buckguy Did you get the pigeons? They are called Giant Runts. Proably the largest of the pigeon breeds. Don't fly much, and usually nest on the floor. Pigeons are easy keepers.A good scratch grain(although pure milo is better if yopu can find it) or a pigeon feed. Also feed mine the same mash I feed my baby chicks as a supplement.
The runts are usually very expensive.Hope you were able to get them for a good price.Usually hard to find more than one or two at a time,of course thats usually all anyone can afford!.
Sorry I Know you wewre asking Teach,But being a fifty year pigeon man I couldn't resist putting in my 2 cents worth.LOL
