ACK! My thermostat in my incubator is going crazy! The light is flickering, the temp dropped to 98 degrees... I am going to go crazy!

I'm going to run Home Depot and pick up a new thermostat and lamp kit. The only place with an incubator I can buy nearby is in Moore, and it's a LG 9200, which I was trying to avoid buying anyway.

I hope I don't lose what I've got in the 'bator.

Good luck in your search for new birds. And your dad's on the board, yay!

Coolness, I just realized my pic is on the top of the POOPS album! Yay, thank you!!

Is it a wafer type thermostat or electronic, store bought bator or home-made? Also how long have the eggs been in? If the eggs were just placed in the bator a temp drop for many hours is normal.

I survived! Our boy dressed out at a strapping 38.6 pounds. Not bad for my 4th solo flight (first turkey) in the world of poultry butchering. Thanks again for Al's tutelage yea those several months ago on my first set of chickens.

[If I ever let one grow this big again before butchering just shoot me.]

If you do find any, please let me know!

I talked to Michael today and he knows a guy up by Canton that has some. I am supposed to get his number. I'll let you know when I hear something.

Michael is a good guy and a real auction pro. He's one of the 4 or 5 people I really watch at the auctions, for tips and techniques and bird savvy. If he stops bidding on a bird, you can pretty much bet the very next bid is going to be too high.

He went out of his way to complement me on some birds I bought one time and I was star struck. It was like the time the number three middleweight in the world complemented me on my technique in the boxing gym many many years ago. A superstar pausing in his journey through the stratosphere to recognize the efforts of a mere mortal.
