I agree with you on that Buster! Mike sure knows what he's doing at those auctions. At POOPS he told me that he still has a Polish roo that he bought from me when I sold out last year at Cement. A roo! I was excited to learn that.

If you do find any, please let me know!

I talked to Michael today and he knows a guy up by Canton that has some. I am supposed to get his number. I'll let you know when I hear something.
Monty

Thanks, Monty!!!!!

Grace I am so sorry about your loss.

A loss like that years ago kept us from showing for a few years and in that time I lost track of everyone that I had made friends with and out of the loop as to where the shows even were.

It was the loss of my blues that did it back in about '93 by a stray dog. The pen of blues were the only one hit.

I hope your dad don't beat himself up too badly over this either. Things like this happen from time to time.

I will PM you my links for electric fencing. There are three sites Premier, Gallagher and Zabarra (I think that is spelled right)

If you need any help designing a system that will work for you just give a shout.

Hey Cammie,

I don't know if anyone else has told you or not, but I think it's pretty cool that you tipped your hat to your uncle Bill for getting you back into the hobby. All of us owe at least that to someone but all too often it goes unsaid. Well done.

Thank you for noticing.

My grandma got me a dozen hatching eggs when I was much much younger. But after my aunt and uncle got married, he was hatching turkeys in town and then relocating them to my grandma's in Cement. I thought the idea was great, but thankfully ended up going the chicken route. Lol

While I'm thinking about it, everyone please say a prayer for my aunt. She is moved in with grandma, still waiting to hear from the M.E. and insurance so she can start looking for a new house... She's really havin a hard time with all of this.

Raccoon #5 just walked into the "portal to the next world" I've been setting on my front porch. How many of these things are there?

Monty, this one looks to be another youngster from this year's crop. Too bad it's not the day before POOPS...

Today is day 9 on the eggs. I candled last night, but it was at 100.4 this morning. It's a homemade incubator... I couldn't find a local source for an incubator that wasn't a Little Giant, and I figured if I was going to buy an incubator (which I am... on the 15th of this October, to incubate silkie eggs that will be coming in at the end of October, give me time to see how it works), than I was going to save the money and just use what I had. Only things I had to buy for this 'bator was the thermostat and light kit, using the Chick Bator plans. Everything else I already had.

I went out to take my girl to her soccer practice (U10 girls) and came back... the bator had gone up to 104 in 2 hours. Luckily when I came in I bee-lined straight for the 'bator...
