Hey guys- my Roo, BR young is at his shanegans again- missed the holding treatment for 2 days- you know, his daily humiliation pet, cuddle time - well, he was mr attitude today, so i guess i need to figure no time off for humiliation lessons...

he did get cuffed when he jumpepd at me, then walked around on tiptoe....

almost at the point to ask if anyone wants him??

afternoon folks...still alive in the frozen tundra...I had to feed and water cuz none of you fair weather friends showed up!

It was cold!! But I sat in front of the fire with a hot chocolate and all was right in the world again!

Don't have too much fun at the auctions!

I wanna go!!!

I am going to a pigeon show next weekend!

Good afternoon folks! Glad to see that everything is right in my world again (Thanks Mod's).

I have been busy outside working on the coop we built 2 or 3 months ago, we had never gotten around to closing in the front so thanks to my wonder husband that is now done! I am almost ready for the cold weather.

You guys have fun at the auction! I wish I could do things like that around here. Maybe I will try to get to the Chupps next month.

Bummer nor being near those auctions...me and shidalgo are thinking about making a road trip for the next auction...I was gonna take some extra birds but my stupid dog took care of the extras...now i get to buy!!! Don't tell mama

The only one around here is the Chupps. It is only once a month and last time had I reconized Donna I would had three peeps to chat with but it isn't the same as the type they go to in Blanchard.

Jaxon and I were trying to catch some butterflies this morning and Jaxon turned over a metal drop pan I had laying in the garden to see if he could find some bugs. What did he see? A pencil thin brown snake with an olive stipe. He hunched his shoulders and said "I am so freaked out, I saw a snake." I found the snake down in the grass, it had been sunning on top of the crushed grass because with the metal pan catching the sun, it was undoubtedly warm under there. It was about 12 inches long and I picked it up admired it for a few minutes before putting it back under the pan. It was pretty cool. I would think the snakes would be looking for a hole to hide in for the winter, with the last weather change.

still a little early to start holing up for the winter...besides they will still come out on warm days. Snakes are not true hibernators...they just slow down. The little guy you found thought it had found a good place to chill for a while...it wasn't but try telling that to a snake!

In your neck of the woods you will uncover snakes fairly much all year round...especially if you go poking around under things. You would be amazed at what lives in compost piles!!! Got some great snakes stories about that!!

I think the guineas probably take care of anything in the compost pile we use for the horse, chicken and rabbit poo. The guineas destroy any cow patties before they can be composted.

Dear Okies

Wanted to apologize first to Rob as when I am here I am a guest on his website...Sorry Rob....I know the rules and lipped off anyways...please don't hold my behavior against the Okies... they are a great bunch... and will all tell you I am prone to stepping in it... most of the time.

Next to Okies who were affected by the lockdown that was my fault by a political comment I made yesterday. I'm sorry. As was evidenced by the "LOL" and "ruler" comment I made I knew I was treading in controversial territory....but figured I was with my buds... that y'all knew me, and my heart... was just mouthing off. I'm really sorry my behavior affected you all you guys, and locked down the chicken "home" we all love.

Again....I'm sorry.. I have edited derrogatory posts...

Good evening every one hope all is well!! I am about half way done with the new coop I got the living quarters done I just gotta get the pen built now. Sooner the auction I went to today was in Southwest City Mo it is about a hour from my house but I probably not gonna go back until next spring wasnt anything there but roosters and barnyard mixes.......
