Darn, I wish I knew of a place cheaper for LS-50 in OKC or I'd just order it online and return the stuff to Swaim Serum! I hate paying too much for anything!

Well, I just found LS-50 for $22.50 at American Livestock Supply, Inc. and there's some other med's we all might be interested in having available. I like that company, and if you spend over $75 shipping is free! I've bought a lot of rubber tubs for my chicken pens, so that I'm prepared for winter. I've found that those rubber tubs are great for watering the birds in freezing temps.

Here's the poultry med's link for American Livestock Supply: http://www.americanlivestock.com/c-166-medicationsupplements.aspx

Here's
the link for the rubber feed pan's that I like, along with all of the Miller Mfg. products that they sell http://www.americanlivestock.com/m-15104-.aspx

Well I got a nice oddball in my incubator today. I had put in about 18 or so white rock eggs. After glancing in I noticed fuzzy little yellow and white chicks, and one odd ball black with a cream breast chick. I dont have a clue what it is or where it came from. So it will be interesting watching it grow up so I can figure out what it is. I'll try to snap some pictures if I get a chance and maybe one of you will have an idea.

Here is where I get my meds, they are at 31 dollars for LS-50 but they will also be set-up at Shawnee during the show. That is when I stock up on meds and spare parts for the bators, and books and feeders...........

As
for the measuring, I use a postal scale that is digital and can be set for grams.

Carla, that is so sweet! I'm glad you put the video on. I don't know how I missed that ya'll were going, maybe you didn't post it... I don't know how you didn't laugh! I would've been looking at Elvis walking me down the isle!

Did you get his autograph?

I don't think Johnny Files is a vet, or at least not anymore. Everyone directed me to him as the 'chicken expert.' Apparently he organizes and does the poultry judging at the Grady County fair.

I will see if our local Country Store has LS-50. They're usually priced fairly well.

doubleo, that is exciting! I've always wanted a random batch of eggs so I could guess the chicks as they grew. Are these eggs from your birds, or did you get them from someone? Sometimes people send surprise eggs with the batch. Gracefulbantams did that for me.

they are from my birds, but apparently I have a sneaky young roo who wasnt suppose to be with them, I guess he has figured out some way to get in with my hens and then leave without a trace.

Carla... that video was awesome. I got all choked up when "Elvis" sang "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You." Mike sings that to me! There I am all teary eyed watching you guys tie the knot and "Elvis" breaks out into "Viva Las Vegas"! I was rolling! You guys sure had a memorable wedding, that is for sure! May God bless you with many happy years together!

Monty, I am so glad we have you here to keep things lively! I've always wondered what a feathered Dippindotte looked like.

doubleo, I can't believe that only one chick came out different! The colors remind me of the Dark Brahmas I used to have, but the pattern's all wrong. And that comb! Looks like a rosecomb, maybe??

neat rooster...silver duck-winged aracauna rosecomb bard-rock!
