I don't think we can pull off a 2 day show so close to Christmas. Just the time constraints of that time of year and the large family that we have to visit at that time. She would love to but I am saying no. She will show at her local club again in Jan.

You were at the Fayetteville show????? Why didn't ya say hello?

That's what I was thinking. We were all congregating in the same corner. Next time, come find us!

we didn't make the show a friend of ours was to pick up two BB hens I was looking for and brought back 10 and two roosters that I dont need, kinda felt obligated to take them figured some one around could use them.

City... It is great to see ya back, you were missed.

I am thinking that I will be going the Shawnee Poultry Show but only to check it out at this point.

some day I may start to show but...... not just yet. lol

Kate check into your local 4H club, that is a great place to start. As for shows, my daughter is just getting started so I don't know as much as some others on the board, the next shows that I know of are the Cement show (bantams only) and the Shawnee show ( 2 day show). If you do a serch you should be able to find info on both. If not I know some of the other on here can post info for you.

Madison will read the post later but I will say Thank YOU in advace. She is really having fun with it and is already talking of other breeds she wants to do, I think I have created a monster! LOL.

Sooner,

Yeah I was wanting to get her into 4-H, but around here the age limit is older than she daughter (8 almost 9).

Were I am from in Wisconsin little ones as young as 5 can do 4-H. My nieces showed this year in 4-H and one of them is much younger than my daughter. We are in Pawnee county, so I am not sure if in another county they are older or not. Where is the Cement show? I knew about the one in Shawnee from doing searches, but being so close to Christmas and finals for school I am not sure if I can make that one.

What part of Oklahoma are you in??? The 4-H chapter in our area has Cloverbuds and I think that it is for 4-7year olds, now I am not sure if this is the same in all the chapters in the state or what but I would think that they would all abide by the same rules and regulations. Just my .02 worth!!

Sorry Kate, I am a little confused. How old is your daughter? ARe you sure you aren't talking about FFA?

I don't have info on the Cement show I think Danelion & Gracefulbantam has the info on it.

Ah Jarvis thanks, it isn't that and we will be there just not going to show. We will come hang out most of Sat. I have family in OKC, hoping to do the show on Sat & Christmas with them on Sunday.

edit cause I didn't read the other post with the answer.

Thanks for the welcome backs!

Pepper, I've added you to the Shawnee list. I think most people are coming just to look and not to show...although I know we have some who will show, so we can root for them!

okieglory and osukrazykate - I'm so glad you found us!!

And osukrazykate - I've been lurking on the Mille Fleur cochin thread on here - I love that Candy Corn color...good luck with that project!

Teach...I know I'm late on the hugs and condolences for your dad...

Henny! I've had Mike's job in my prayers ever since you posted that he applied online - I'm so happy that may still be in the works!

Good luck to you - and your little dog, too!!

Okla-DOODLE-DACHSUNDS!! Thanks for posting - LOVE your new name and avatar...I will connect the dots in my brain between "Wayne" and your new BYC personality.

BarnSwallow - keep us posted on how Austin and you are all doing...I hope Austin's foot recovers fully, and that you don't have any more mishaps out there.

Thanks Al for posting the stories and photos of you, Gerald and Stimpy for Veteran's Day. And thank you Dandelion for your service, and to Buster and all the others who serve or have relations who serve our country. I'm late to share, but here are photos of my own Little Brother, active duty Air Force; and also of my wonderful Second Dad Tom, WWII Navy Veteran.
