Wayne-how's the recovery going? It sounds like you're doing well. Thanks for the belated b-day greetings, I'm not that old (45) yet, but I do have those mornings at times. Nice eggs. Good like Mike/Henny.

Ke-Ben ,I'm doing real good. Everything is healing up fine and I seem to be a little clearer haeded(Thats a plusLO .and a little more energy. Having a hard time not over doing, but thats always been a problem!
45 ,You are still a pup!lol.

Anyone with an incubator going need some eggs? I have 5 asil, eggs and a dozen or two EE bantams and some belgian quail. Shipping cost only.

OK-doodle, 45 is long lived for my bunch in general so I think I'm doing pretty good. My dad had a heart attack at 33, triple bypass at 34, and passed away at 48. Heart problem and diabetes run in the family. My dad's cardiologist insisted on checking out my brothers and I at 18 and wanted EKG's by 25, stress tests by 35, yada, yada, yada. You appear to be mending well, just don't overdo it. I'll check with a friend on the eggs, thanks.

We just got home from the hospital about an hour ago. They finally let Gerald come home from the hospital today!

The test results came back .... the meningitis is viral and is not contagious! That is great news! Dr wants him to stay away from work til he sees his regular Dr on Thursday though.

I'm doing better now that Gerald's home. I think the stress was getting to me. Now I have my buddy back! He's out collecting eggs right now.

Oh, and it's our anniversary today too!

Gosh I hope Gerald has good health insurance ... the first ER visit bill came in today ... over $5K. And then, we went to the ER twice last Friday ... and of course he was admitted & not let go until today.

I'm so glad Gerald is home - try to make sure he doesn't overdo it. And I'll bet you're right - the stress of him being in the hospital probably made you feel bad, too. (Of course, him being in the hospital is no excuse for not getting you an anniversary present...but I guess you could accept his quick and complete recovery as his gift to you!)

no sense worrying about it until you see what the insurance actually pays. Sounds like he may hit his out of pocket maximum this year.

Happy Anniversary

Thanks!

Oh, he's got good insurance .... TriCare Prime. I'm glad he got the more expensive of insurance plans! It should pay well, I hope.

On another note ... I sure don't recommend morphine for pain relief! He sure saw some strange things afterward ... ghosts, things falling from the ceiling, the bed moving! The nurse told him it was the morphine. He didn't believe me when I told him.
