I was just thinking about that. I am sure we can come up with a prize. Do you hatch eggs? How about a dozen hatching eggs? Of course if they are from me it will have to be after they start laying. They are slackers right now.

I enjoy hatching eggs ... I bought 3 small incubators the first year and kept buying too many eggs on eggbid & ebay, plus my chickens were laying, so I bought myself a Christmas present a year ago ... a GQF sportsman cabinet incubator with preset temp. All I do is add the eggs, keep filling the tray with water, and move the eggs to the hatching tray several days before they hatch. It's an addiction I have, I must admit. People I know think I've lost my mind because I tell them I have a bedroom full of chicks.

I've learned to let some go though ... sold some thru craiglist, and recently learned how to sell hatching eggs on ebay & eggbid. I had just been collecting eggs for my relatives & for coworkers to eat. Now at least I'm getting closer to paying the feed bill. Speaking of feed, I'd better go feed the chickens before I go to work.

It could be me. I sold some brabanter roosters, a jersey giant rooster & some silkies a few weeks ago. Now I have 5 jersey giants (rooster chicks) that are 6 weeks old on craigslist.

I was going to stop hatching eggs for a while, but, then I start looking at eggs to buy on ebay & eggbid. My incubator is half full now. It's just too much fun. Especially since the weather's been cold & it stays dark too much ... I have too much time on my hands to look at the internet to see what other people have.

I just found this website & forum last night when I was at work ... supposedly working!

Foghorn. yay on working for schools and getting baby chickies

Buckguy20, I'm sending out an email to everyone in my poultry club right now about this site - maybe we can hit 60

Cammie, yeah, chickens and boys are a lot simpler than houses and fiances and cows and little sisters... and all that stuff

If we get too many more okies in here, I won't be able to keep up with the conversations!

Welcome to the board Carla! I think I saw your Brabanters on Craigslist, very pretty. Do you have any other pictures of your birds? I've never seen a Spitzhauben. My dad loves Jersey Giants, but I really can't afford to get any more chickies right now.

Oh and Carla, did you say you don't want any eggs? Because I can give you some of my banty Dark Brahma eggs as a door prize if you'd like.

Buckguy, do you think Jack's chickens are banties? Jack are your chickens banties? *ha* Banty Barred anything is cute.

Grace, I haven't heard any chirping yet, I'm getting worried. Of course, I did just get home. *ha* I had a dream last night that they hatched and had long flat tails like sparrows.

Forgot, Shopper Topper came out today, here's the birds:

Domesticated quail, $2.00 each (405) 756-7612 or (405) 812-4750

Full grown male white ducks $10 each (580) 759-2552

Three geese gander, $15 each. Ten large rooster (corn fed) $5 each. (405) 756-5760

Anyone have or know of someone who has Black Angus bulls they'd be willing to sell? We're needing one...

Luvz, I am so very sorry about your whole situation.

I know its probably scary, but things always work out the way they're supposed to. Maybe this just means there's something way better out there for him. Don't loose hope.

Hello,
I know you have members that are around the OK/AR border; My sister told me about a homestead, livestock auction with flea & farmers market.

Every Sunday from 8:00 - 2:00, West of Chester, AR.
(On the main Hwy)

I have never been, so I don't know anything about this...but if someone knows or decides to go, I would be interested to hear about it.

Yes I have Spitzhaubens! They are absolutely beautiful birds. I'm at work right now, so I shouldn't even be on line. If I can figure out how to post pictures tomorrow, I'll try to show pictures of my birds. I'll be off work for 5 days after tonight!

I do need to sell some young Spitzhauben roosters, 4 months old. On ebay, there's some pic's of the chicken eggs I'm selling.

I've also got 6 week old Jersey Giant Roosters advertised on Craigslist.

It looks like I'm going to buy some Araucana eggs, if they haven't already sold. I've bought some Marans eggs from Ray Valentine, too, that will hopefully arrive soon.

Gosh this is addictive!

Oh, and I just found out there's an auction in Prague this weekend. This ad was in the Shawnee Star: Exotic Animal, Bird and Buffalo Auction. Friday & Saturday Feb. 15-16, 10am Ensign Livestock 4mi N on Hwy 99, Prague, Ok Call to consign Rodger Ensign 405-612-5856

Maybe I can convince my boyfriend to take me there & say it's for Valentine's Day (weekend)!!!
