I think it is somewhere between where you are and the 558 posts that BigOkie has, since he is "overrun with chickens"

I think it switches at 500.

Just sit at the table in the back with those of us who are mainly there to visit and we will keep him entertained. Of course, if you actually want to bid on something, you may want to move away from the table so you can see and hear better.

Oh, we're gonna be there to visit. Buying birds isn't in the budget. I'm gonna follow my plan from the Shawnee auction: 1. Leave debit/ATM card and check book at home, so there's no way to get cash, and 2. bring absolutely nothing that I can take a bird home in. With no money and no transport, leaving there with birds will be a difficult process... which is when I would most likely be able to talk myself out of blowing my budget for the month

Donna - if you want to increase your post #s more quickly, go over to the jokes and fun section. There is a game you can play where they try to count as high as possible before a moderator posts, which makes the counting start over from number 1. You can go back and forth while reading the Okie thread and post just numbers in the counting thread, so it doesn't take much time, but it counts as a post.

they sell hatching eggs and "supplies" like waterers and feeders that don't require a cage for transport

And of course with all the Okies there, someone is likely to have a cage you could borrow if you needed one. You could do like Henny did last time and just not get a bidder's number - but that was when she missed out on silkie eggs for $1.50 per dozen.

Yeah! I thought it was really funny when I saw it, but I keep looking at it myself and it is starting to freak me out too!

I am not sure it fits my personality. I found a few and that was the first one I tried putting on here and then stopped right there and left it after all the troubles I was having. I might try and remember how to do it again and find a better one.

Faerie, I've been meaning to compliment you on your steadfast commitment to your budget. It is quite inspiring. My commitment to mine has been lax lately, and I need to get back to following it strictly.

So, thanks for that.

I like the 5gal buckets best. By the time you put the funnel or flower pot in the bottom it doesn't hold that much.
