Okies in the BYC The Original

Beleive it or Not,,,, Renia is starting another incubator today to go along with the 2 she already had.
She got ducks (Khaki Campbells) starting to lay. Jo Greer came by today and Renia got 4 more dozen eggs
from her. Good Lord, that girl has the fever.

Hope all are doing well tonight/evening???

Never too early to start planning POOPS. We just need someone to volunteer to spend about 80 hours organizing it and then we need to find a date and location that is convenient for that person and at least a dozen more folks who will be needed to help pull it off

I can volunteer to help, but no way can I organize it. I think that's a problem that most of us have.

It'll be a good while. I still have yet to get the city to cough up the code on poultry. I don't even know if the city code even addresses waterfowl.

I don't know what the city codes are for OKC but the duck's noise is nothing compared to the Chinese geese we had. We live so far back in the country that we have sunshine piped in. It is 4 miles to the nearest black-top road.

What I do miss about the Chinese geese is the fact that they acted like vaccuum cleaners for the goat droppings. They would line-up shoulder to shoulder and start eating every one of the droppings that was in front of them.

Did the last location work for most people? It was about 2 1/2 hours from my place, but that was okay for me. They had nice facilities, too. The club house was perfect, and the porch worked well for the auction.

when and where were the last two POOPS? what all is involved, any events, what types of facilities are needed, attendance for last two and expected attendance, how often are we wanting once a year, twice a year, beginning of the seasons, is there a newsletter , what about official organization,
