Okies in the BYC The Original

Just plugged the computer back in. We had high winds and heavy rain, but no hail. Checked all the pens, no roofing missing. For some reason a half dozen Cinnamon Queen pullets decided to hunker down outside their house. They're fine, just wet. I checked inside their house, no snakes, so I guess they just wanted to enjoy the evening al Fresca.

Hi FunChick! You're helping keep us on the topic of chickens. I love my yellow gingham chicken fabric tote - I'm amazed at all the different and cute chicken fabric you found!

...and that softball sized hailstone I saw on the news probably makes two sounds: a crash when it hits your roof and a splat when it hits your floor...! I am so thankful that everyone who has checked in is safe...would like to hear from more Okies... It looks like there is still some tornadic storms in the Wilburton area and eastern Latimer county.

we are fine here, battened everything down, man it poured, thundered, hail and there was a tornado in braggs, 2 miles from here- i guess they are still tallying up how many- the gas station we went to after poops was hit- so far the only damage i see is a flooded run..

thanks for checking on folks, Al. Maybe a phone tree would be a good idea??

check in when you can folks!

Lots of rain and wind here...nothing you'all got around the OKC area. Hope everyone is well; my family and critters are ok.

I did go out to feed the dogs a few minutes ago and had a 4' black snake up on back porch trying to get in. 'Grabbed a rake and tossed it out in the driveway, DW dispatched it smartly with 20ga. snakes in the pasture are good, snakes trying to get in our house or coop regardless of species gets an automatic death penalty.

Give a shout if anyone needs help with anything.

Sooner checking in!!!

Sorry about not getting the call, although I live on a mountain, I am down in the hallow, when it storms I have no reception & my son has been on the phone forever. We kicked back & watched the Blind Side & kept pausing it to go watch the weather. My computer is still unplugged, just got on DH laptop to check in. Glad to see that everyone is safe so far. Another one that needs to check in is Bethinoklahoma.

Everyone stay safe, time to tuck the kids in!

Am watching local news here and there
was some damage in a camping park
SE of Muskogee. I believe that would have
been south of Sooner. Hope she checks
in soon. Looks like the worst of this
thing came across Oklahoma, East, right up
I-State 40.

Still severe thunderstorms down in SE
Oklahoma.....Grace, Dandelion and others,
holler at us when you can.

So thankful that so far/so good..............

We didn't get anything here in Bethany, just a little rain. I have lived in Oklahoma all my life and have never seen a tornado in real life.

I think it's so neat how everyone checks on each other! I love this site!
