I called Frank Dually and his son Jeff. Lots of damage but all are OK. They went to Bo Emo's house. 5 inch hail stones went thru the roofs of their houses, knocked out windshields, back glass and head lights on vehicles. They are all shaken and beat-up but OK. They all live at SW 135 and Sunny Lane OKC/Moore area.

Beth should be fine,we didnt get much here

Geez, ClothDiaperingMom - do you feel like you missed any excitement by not already living in Dustin? Of course, today it really didn't matter where you lived in Oklahoma - you were bound to get some weather excitement.

Thanks to all who have checked in - glad you're okay and I hope those without power get it back soon. Prayers to all who lost family members, possessions, or suffered damages in this storm. For a month that holds such promise and hope for a new season of growth and life, early May rarely leaves Oklahoma unscathed.

Guess I'll go ahead and start packing the car in readiness to head out to Stillwater early in the a.m.

So thankful all are ok. From what it sounds like we have chances like this for the next 10 days. We may be meeting on here to just check on each other and not to discuss our birds. Sure glad we have this site to do that though. Sleep tight all and have a better day tomorrow.

Evening everyone,

By the reading of the posts sounds like some of our fellow chicks and roo's were hit hard by the nasty weather... Nothing much in my neighborhood although I live not that far from King Al, Jason and his unit are in the field spoke with him earlier he said it was just windy... Yesterday when I was driving through Kansas coming back from my 1 day in Colorado(taking my kids to my moms) it was nothing but heavy wind all the way here and once I crossed in to Oklahoma yesterday I noticed how dark the clouds were then as soon as I get home in the drive way, it down pours

I was trying to plead with the Lord for just 2 min of dry time but He didnt seem to think I needed to stay dry.. ha ha ha.

Anyhow Miss Priscilla is screaming at me to come rock her in her craddle... alas maybe just maybe I might have a second night of sleeping 6 hours straight.... who knows... stay tuned... ha ha

Dang it. I went out to check the birds before I turn in, and I found one of the Buff Orpingtons standing in the nest, passing or trying to pass a soft-shelled egg that seems to have broken open in the laying process. This is the second time this week I've found evidence of a broken egg in the nest box, so she must be having troubles. I dumped a bunch of oyster shell out there for them a couple of days ago, and I always keep the egg shells and crush them up to feed them to the girls... I hope this isn't something that becomes chronic...and right before I leave for several days so I won't be able to monitor her.

Jack came by today and I asked if he needed any fried egg sandwich filling - I had some already individually packaged and ready to go...

Howdy, Just wanted to say thanks for praying and worrying over us. Thanks Maribeth, Donna and Kathleen and Steve for the calls.
We don't have a cellar but were hunkered down in the bathroom in the center of the house. I actually think it had already hit before we went to the room. My wife was coming home from work and I went outside to give her an umbrella. I could hear a roaring noise but I thought it was just the wind and the rain pounding the roof. Looking back I think now that I was hearing the tornado.
Our power came back on about 10:45. We had about 30 phone messages. Our cell service went kaput. We could get some calls but couldn't call out. We got out and tried to check on some friends that live on the same section a mile South of us but couldn't get onto their street.
Got in touch with one who said they were ok, but he told me the other friend lost their home.
I am not sure of the exact track it took yet but I know it was as close as a mile straight South of us and possible closer.
We did get close enough to Love's to see that there wasn't much left.
When we went by KOA there wasn't any power but I think the tornado stayed a few hundred yards south of the KOA.
I haven't read all of the pposts yet.
Wondering about Steph and Carl and Yonderoak and also Tina.
Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.

Monty

Is everyone ok!?!? I was watching the weather today and all I could do was worry about all of ya'll! Monty, I see you have power (using the computer) so you all must be ok. We didn't get anything down here; I left Norman about an hour before it hit there.

Hope everyone is alright!

That long old whip thing that snaked around from Morgan Road just kept getting closer and closer, we went to the closet when the sirens started blowing, it was within 1/2 mile of us at one time. Whew, spooky stuff today.

Al, did I get those little baby Silkies from you? There were four partridge and two blues, one was older than the others.
Goodnight, God Bless you wonderful people!
