I am O.K....a bit shaken. I live off Anderson Rd....work in Moore...When I left work in Moore about 5:00 I could see a funnel starting to lower. Some hail starting to fall. I didn't want the hail to ruin my truck so I was driving really fast heading east down 149th. When I got to Anderson Rd.,I looked back and a tornado was right behind me!!! I made it to my house about 1 minute in front of it and went into my underground storm shelter...as I was going underground, everything around me was going up and around. Tornado was at tree top level. My house is O.K. but a hole in my barn roof and tops of trees broken. I am pretty lucky. No electric for miles any where around my house. Came in to my shop in Moore to have electric. Will write more later.

Fletcher & Elgin area got plenty of wind but that was all. We could see it building to our north and east, was praying all was OK.

We lost power during our dinner out because we came home to the 'puter reset and TV off. NO DAMAGE here.

Trying to outrun a tornado is way too scary. Glad you are physically alright and that the damage at your house wasn't as bad as it sounds like it could have been.

Got a text message from Michael Daugherty that one of the guys who goes out to Mary's swap meet on a regular basis, Pat, lost 2 barns and his truck. Pat's brother and nephew both lost their homes. Pat lives by Harrah and came to POOPS and bought birds at the auction. They don't post on BYC, but they are chicken folks.

Michael Daugherty didn't indicate any damage to his place.

We're okay and so are carl and stephanie. Bob decided to drive right through the one that came by our house and i think stephanie was out dodging all of the rest of them, but everybody came out just fine.

I hope to make it to Fletcher. We have to go to College Station on Friday for my nephew's Army commissioning ceremony, so will have to see how much energy we have left after that trip.

Looks like everyone is okay?
We are fine but all of this has me to thinking.
Our own chicken family here on the board has had
problems in the past. Now we all like each other and
like to get together. Seems like their is power in numbers.
Maybe we should raise money and have some on hand to
help out each other and others when in need. Put together
a non-profit.

Very glad you are safe and the tornado did little damage to your property. Goodness, I shutter to think of trying to beat a tornado to a storm shelter by a minute. You are very lucky.

I am worried about Muesky. There was a trailer park in Noble that was destroyed and I don't know for sure where she lived - just that she was close to my beekeeper friend in Noble and he was 1.5 miles from the trailer park that was hit. Does anyone have a phone number for Rebeccah or know at which school she works?

We also need to check on Plain Old Dee since she is in the Seminole area.
