Les, I have an NN question.
I have a few young roos (3-4 months old) and they all have thick bow ties coming in, but there is one that only has a few feathers in the bow tie area. Will he go ahead and fill in or is he just gonna be more bare than the others?

He will probably not fill in. I have had NNs with just two lines of feathers on either side of the neck. I always kept ones like that back for breeding as I like a smooth neck on my birds. Teva prefers a bow-tie.
If he has kept his birds true and still has NNs, Duane Urch had a beautiful line of NNs that were out of Bernard Kellogg stock that were imported from Germany back in the 60s and early 70s. They get serious about NNs in Germany and had true bantams bred down from large fowl, not crossed with any other breeds to get them smaller.

coffee anyone? Finally last night at 2 am we rounded the corner with lucky! She is now breathing absolutely normal and is running and chasing bugs with the others. She looks fantastic!
My dad is doing ok... I will be going back to the hospital later. He is in a lot of pain and having a couple of issues that are expected but so far he seems to be doing alright. Me I am still exhausted! lol
