They look good!!! I will get my next lesson on leg color on the 7th! I am still interested in some of your babies when POOPS rolls around or eggs. I am going to cross the one I got from you with a RIR!
#3 is doing much better. She is up and around. #4 (also from my hens) is not doing very well. She had lots of blood in the membrane. Not gushing or anything but visible red that was not on the others. She's been out a couple of hours and still lying down for the most part.
#5, 6, & 7 are all out now too! They did textbook pip and zips- very cool to show the kids and to watch! 3 more to go, only one has a pip so far. I am very happy. My last (and first) batch only produced 4 and 1 died a week later. I kept the temperature and humidity much better regulated this time.
A reminder to everyone that there will not be an auction this Saturday in Blanchard. Hope everyone has a nice Christmas. Hope to see everyone at the sale January 8th.
A vacation that makes me lost. Now do not know what to do.
morning everyone!! am listening to little silky crows this morning! music to my ears! so darn cute! so today i need to get a couple runs put together- got some great ideas from Betsy! she has gorgeous birds! check this one out- can't remember the breeding line, but check out his colors!
just had to play with this image of one of the new silkies! Have a blessed Christmas!
meanwhile- on the home front, daughter thinks we are nuts- tried to explain showing and breeding chickens is the same as horse or dog showing, breeding lines etc- so she cracks off- but chickens are stoooopid! geeeezzze!! get a life!
Robin,
Beautiful picture of the Partridge ??? colored silkie. Love the one snuggled in a bed and wish I had the technical savvy to do cute things with the pictures that I never get taken.
