Countyroad, are you selling those buff orp chicks? If so, I'm interested. At the Harrah auction, I bought 3 buff orp roos that look to be around 3 months old, and there was a pair sold before these guys came up & they said the auctioneer said they are offspring of the pair ... and he also said the pair was show birds .... they were gorgeous & HUGE! So, I'm going to keep one roo, and sell the other 2. Anybody interested? If not, probably will sell one at Cement, & sell another later in Harrah. I'm always open for trades ... if anyone is interested.
Gosh Countyroad, I hate it that Chickenstock will be on your wedding day. Maybe they'll change the weekend of Chickenstock ... ???
Graceful, no the website is not either of those it's initials are c...c...org. Now you have me curious as to what the others are. I guess I should google chicken forums & see what shows up, but I'm too busy today. Lots of chicks & chickens to feed.
I may bring some of my mystery chicks from the feedstore with me to Cement auction next Saturday, to see if anyone can identify them. I sure want to know what they are. The chicks that could be EEs or Ameraucanas or Aracaunas or ??? still have no sign of combs coming in ... so I can't identify them I've crossed off thinking they are phoenix, because their feathers are coming in brown barred. But I have the others that are speckled brown that I need to identify too ... I'm hoping Campines, but I guess I'll have to wait to see what Buckguy thinks about those. I'll bring some of them to Cement, too ... maybe someone there would have a good idea.
One more thing before I log off. I learned from several people at the auction last night that color dyed chicks are illegal in Oklahoma. I didn't know that! I guess those out-of-state hatcheries better not mail them in to Oklahoma anymore, if that's the case.
