Jimd, I figured you were wanting those Welsummer eggs ... so I stopped bidding after a few dollars.

YES, I was on a buying frenzy once again ... I sure didn't need to buy any more eggs, lol ... I came home with 7 dozen marans eggs, 9 white rocks & 9 buff orp. and 5 bourbon red turkey eggs. That wasn't very many eggs

now, where am I going to find the room in my incubator? I will not buy another cabinet incubator, I will not buy another cabinet incubator .... anybody have one for sale ???? I need therapy!

I agree ... there were some chickens that definitely appeared to be Welsummers there. I hope that's what they are! You got lucky Jimd!

The lady that bought the polish chicks is a BYC member ... don't know her username. They are adorable chicks. I'm glad a BYC member bought them!

Okiechick, I'm happy you bought some eggs & birds too! That was a gorgeous australorp roo you bought! And your grandson is ADORABLE!

Cement auction next Saturday! Gerald & I will go ... I had better sell some chicks & not buy ANYTHING! Yeah, right.

sorry ya'll about the link not working I will try and get that fixed today.

Uh, Chickenstock would have to be on my wedding date. Maybe we can stop by after the ceremony... *haha*

Carla, I plan on keeping the Brabanters! They are too cute, and I like adding rare and unusual breeds to my flock.

Ok ya'll the link is fixed thanks to the help of our great mods.

Carla, I would say you need definite counseling, but.....I don't know, you do seem to be selling a lot of birds, too
lol.png
Of course, you did buy over 100 more hatching eggs
wink.png

Oh, and would the initials of that "other chicken site" happen to be t-p-c or p-y-a ?

Cammie, you had a pretty good hatch this time, didn't you
big_smile.png
(especially with those 3 Brabanters!)
The date for the ChickenStock isn't "set in stone" yet, I know

GoldRose, I'm so sorry about all the animal predators around there! :aww Yes, Raccoons can kill chickens - they usually won't eat them, but they will kill them.

Countyroad, are you selling those buff orp chicks? If so, I'm interested. At the Harrah auction, I bought 3 buff orp roos that look to be around 3 months old, and there was a pair sold before these guys came up & they said the auctioneer said they are offspring of the pair ... and he also said the pair was show birds .... they were gorgeous & HUGE! So, I'm going to keep one roo, and sell the other 2. Anybody interested? If not, probably will sell one at Cement, & sell another later in Harrah. I'm always open for trades ... if anyone is interested.

Gosh Countyroad, I hate it that Chickenstock will be on your wedding day. Maybe they'll change the weekend of Chickenstock ... ???

Graceful, no the website is not either of those it's initials are c...c...org. Now you have me curious as to what the others are. I guess I should google chicken forums & see what shows up, but I'm too busy today. Lots of chicks & chickens to feed.

I may bring some of my mystery chicks from the feedstore with me to Cement auction next Saturday, to see if anyone can identify them. I sure want to know what they are. The chicks that could be EEs or Ameraucanas or Aracaunas or ??? still have no sign of combs coming in ... so I can't identify them I've crossed off thinking they are phoenix, because their feathers are coming in brown barred. But I have the others that are speckled brown that I need to identify too ... I'm hoping Campines, but I guess I'll have to wait to see what Buckguy thinks about those. I'll bring some of them to Cement, too ... maybe someone there would have a good idea.

One more thing before I log off. I learned from several people at the auction last night that color dyed chicks are illegal in Oklahoma. I didn't know that! I guess those out-of-state hatcheries better not mail them in to Oklahoma anymore, if that's the case.

Sounds like everyone had a blast at the auction. I wish I could have been there. I plan to go next week.

Critter is Lisa's name on BYC. She emailed me and said she got a great price for her trio of Brahmas.

Okie, What did your friend have to pay for hens if I may ask?

JimD, Saturday I tried calling the number you had pm'd me earlier. I had a big surprise for you but I couldn't reach anyone. I may have dialed a wrong number but I called it three times and always got the same message.

Carla, Maybe we can work out some sort of trade for the giant hen. I don't need any roos though.

I'm trying to catch up on all the posts and I will add the newbies to the list.
Monty

Buckguy, I was on the road all day Saturday so the phonse should have worked. I checked the PM and sent my cell. I resent both my numbers, so you can try to get ahold of me again.
Now I will be anxious until I hear from you!
We now have 40 welsummer eggs to hatch, so I may be regretting this soon! I need to find more free/cheap lumber!
JimD
