Yes, definately some Narragansett poults also. Also, hopefully some coternix/pharoah quail eggs/birds and any available guinea eggs and any available pheasant eggs......

I just went over to the thread about what folks are bringing to buy/sell/trade. I hadn't been over there for a few weeks and saw posts from some folks we haven't seen on the Okies in the BYC thread for awhile. Red Rover, Red Rover, all Okies come on over.....

Thanks Carla - I had forgotten that Dave Ramsey was speaking tonight - our church has him on a live feed at the church this evening - I am now delighted to be listening to his sensible thoughts on our current economic situation.

I would love to see it! I am putting one together myself and should have it done in a few weeks.

I would like to see a plucker also - I have always wondered how they work (ya'll can just explain it to me - I don't need a total visual in order to understand the concept)

Alrighty folks. Got laundry going for the kids and myself...having to pack for two separate trips, ya know. Got the chicks and hens fed and watered...changing the bedding in the brooder (it's drying out right now) and the incubator is running right on the mark. Hubby is going to make sure the animals are fed while we are all gone this weekend...woo hoo!

I hate helping 4th and 5th graders with math homework....it's so annoying! Especially when it seems so easy and they just aren't *getting it*. I give total props to those of you who are teachers..I have NO patience for teaching.

okiehen - there are a couple organizations in the state that will loan you traps to catch feral cats, spay/neuter and then return them to you. I can't remember the name of either of them, but my godmother used one of them last year.

Henny -

Wish you could be there, but totally understand if you can't make it. I hope everything calms down soon.

Its nuts how much they charge for vet care these days! It used to cost about $50 for shots, tests, and spay/neuter, now its $100 just to spay/neuter!! Speaking of Dave Ramsey - That was when I stopped rescuing cats/dogs, when I had to start using the credit card to cover the vet bills!!

Here's where you want to go to get a pet spayed or neutered in the Oklahoma City area. My cousin's wife Traci is the lady that answers the phone there. She is super-sweet and from the great town of Tuttle Oklahoma USA! Oh, and by the way, they will wave the income requirement ... they won't deny you service if you make more money than that.

We've got 5 cats, all fixed, and I could actually use a few more this year to reduce our mouse population, but they must love dogs or they are history.

I was hoping to use them last year when we got our last cat fixed

I followed what the website said so we were about $1000 over the income requirement....

wish I'd known they didn't care... could have saved some money.... everybody we have now is fixed - I'm big on that
