The Swap that I go to is in Afton Oklahoma near Miami there was a really good turnout today despite the weather. I beleive it is the first and third weekend of every month and then usually on the holiday weekends they have it on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays, they will be having one on memrial weekend as well. Cost is $5 for sellers and free for buyers..

I recall that when I first graduated school, it wasn't cool to know how to type if you were not a secretary, because you would get stuck doing your own typing while the guys got to dictate their stuff and have a secretary type it for them. Then computers came along and suddenly, a computer was a tool of empowerment and it was no longer about "typing" but about having "control" over your document. We wanted the fastest computer on our desk and we wanted it NOW!

I have had carpel tunnel surgery on both hands (not caused by typing) - the relief from the pain and numbness is wonderful.

I have that problem at auctions also. Take a few things and come home with my mini-van packed to the gills.

Maybe you should trade the mini van for a mini Cooper!

We picked up some Flemish Giant rabbits in Waurika today and bought two cages from them as well, provided they would fit into the van. The seller didn't think I could get them into the back of the van because of their length, but with some feed sacks between the cages and the walls of the van, they slid in perfectly. I then had to pile all the carriers we had taken with us on top of the "new" cages and put one in the middle seat, but it worked out well. Sure do love that mini-van - animals can ride in air conditioning and it is easier to park than a full sized truck.

Man I am bummed today. I recently bought some BBS Orpington eggs of the 48 hr auction because I have been dying to get some of these. Come to find out, out of 8 eggs only 2 were fertile and all the egg cells are detached. I don't think it is possible for the two growing ones to hatch.

Well at least it stopped raining.

You are right however about the good news that it has stopped raining for awhile (would someone please remind me how much I hated the mud when it is 105 degrees in the shade and everything is turning brown this summer from lack of rain?)
