Al,

I am all in favor of a playoff system. We'll never have one for 2 reasons: 1) You'll still have to rely on sports writers to determine which 16 teams are allowed in the playoffs. Some teams are still going to feel left out. And 2) The universities are not about to give up the kinds of money you're talking about eliminating. Bowls and their sponsors make the multi-million dollar salaries for coaches and college presidents possible.

I don't think that there is any doubt that the Florida Gators are the national champions. Some say that USC deserved consideration. Perhaps, but on the strength of their schedules you have to give it to Florida. And Utah? Come on. They went undefeated in the mountain west conference. Big deal. That's like being the smartest retard. It just doesn't matter. As for texas, all that mack brown did was prove that he has absolutely no class. The longhrns had a great year, but they were rightfully left out of the big 12 and national championship games.

So yeah, I'd like to see a playoff system but I don't believe it's ever going to happen. It would expend the season too far and cost the schools too much money.

I agree with the fact that $$ does play a big part in this, and most people in favor of a playoff system may not be aware of that. I agree Utah should not be crying about not getting a shot. Then trying to come up with a fair system that eliminates the sports writers as final word and a trying to figure out a fair alternative may prove to be to tough a job and may cost more $$ than it is worth.

Enjoy your weekend

It is a place to raise dragons:D Right now, I've only got
four eggs and they will 'hatch' when the right amout of views and clicks wake them up. This might be something you can 'raise' until Spring;)

It's kinda fun (or it will be when I actually have dragons and not just eggs - I'm anxious to see what I get.

Here's my link again: http://dragcave.net/user/goldrose

How many dragon eggs does it take to make an omelet?

Tell hubby that Utah needs to play and beat some top ranked teams and claw their way up the ladder like everyone else. Like I said, going undefeated in the Mountain West Conference is like earning the front seat on the short bus.

I agree with AL that there should be a way to keep the sports writers out of it. It's become a case where they create, rather than report the news. Most of them never suited up or played a down in their lives but somehow, because they were on the debate team, they feel qualified to decide who should, or should not be ranked.

Carla, a family drove from Prague today to take Bun Bun! They had their teenage daughter with them, it was a suprise for the younger kiddos. She e-mailed me to let me know that the 6 year old was walking it around on its leash in the house.

GoldRose, do you have anyone's link that shows some dragons? That kind of stuff does get addicting; stay away from MySpace. *haha*

Who has Orloffs??? Grace, are you getting some? I love Russian Orloffs! I can't do alot of reading with the whole one eye thing going on, so I'm not up to date. *ha*

Ha-ha! My question is how many clicks and views does it take to get one to hatch and grow! LOL

I'm still kinda new, but the way I found to look at other's dragons was to click on one of my eggs and then see the 'sire and dam'. Then click on one of them. Usually the parent's owners have lots of dragons to look at. You can go back on the pedigree to the beginning of time (so to speak).

So, click on the link, click on an egg, then look for the links to their
parents.

Oh, they start hatching around 3.5 days and it'll take around 400 views to get them to fully hatch. You'll need an additional 400 or so views to get the hatchling to grow up.

My scroll has several adult dragons.

Yes it is addicting!
