I think I mentioned this already, but Gerald's vote is also for the KOA campground. I'm flexible, but Gerald is really concerned with the cleanliness and single restroom at the Lexington auction. I actually think we could "rough it" and accept the Lexington conditions, but KOA really would be nicer, I'm sure. And, you know the saying "you get what you pay for". I'm sure with all of us attending, the campground fee wouldn't be much.

Monty, definitely check out Lexington on Monday & then you make the decision. You are the designated PAPA POOPS & therefore make the final decision!

A couple of things

I would really vote the KOA also for the same reason that carla stated, I will only be staying a few hours. I think at 5.00 per person should cover any fees.. shoot you can't even go to a boat show without paying to get in.

and on the daughter thing, ours is 35 now, and I guess we are lucky she lives and works in KC
has a really big time job, but she remembers to call us everyday, sometimes more.. one month our cell phone bill was over 350 dollars cause we couldn't get her off the phone

But I must say it wasn't always like that..They have to grow.

Papa Poops that is just to funny.

I am fine with the KOA building also. You can count on 25 bucks from me for the rental. It is closer for me also. And it would be more centrally located. Just a thought.

Monty, just wanted to say there is anothe rauction at Perkins but it is a goat aution on the first and third saturday of each month, no chickeens, I think they still have a goat auction east of Carney and they have chickens sometimes I think, been toi the Guy Rose and have to agree with Doublostud, Guy runs the auction at Carney also, I am going to GRA this morning (SAT) I will try to ask Guy what is going on in Carney, I'm Gone, Lynn

If there's not too many of those little roosters, I wouldn't mind.

I really like it when they come over, they are all great kids, All of these girls come from divorced families with no dad figures around ( sad ). So we have them over I try to make it as fun as I can for them, I am cooking them all a big breakfast as we speak. To be honest I could have a whole house full of them, the sound of these girls giggling constantly is a joy. I even played Guitar hero with them last night what a hoot that was, I think they think I am cool LOL LOL silly girls.

AL

Awwwwwwwww Al that is the best ever. To hear a little girl giggle. It is good that you step in and show them a "dad" figure in their lives. There is a saying out there I am sure you have heard it.........Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a daddy!!!

Hey Monte, i talked to Guy Rose about the auction in Carney, it is still going on but they oly sell sheep and goats and related items, They had a fair turn out at Guy Rose Auction in Perkins this mornig in spite of the cold wind, had several roosters, I bought a real nice New Hampshire Red for $6.00, they had a oair of Silver Campines that I should have bid on but didn't, they went for $8.00 for the PR.

, any ways i told Guy we were compiling a list of poultry auctions in the state and would add GRA in Perkins to it, He relayed his appreciation for the addvertising, have a great day, I will be on later, have to get a pen ready for the New Hampshire Reds so I can get some fertile eggs, may have some for the swap, got some eggs from Doubleostud to set under my hen that is setting, hope she stays on long enough to hatch them,

Thanks GB for checking on that I will get it on the auction list as soon as I can.
I am heading to my sons basketball game in a little bit.
They are looking to go 12-0 and into the semi finals of the post season tournament.

You should have bought the Campines. If they were in good shape, that was a steal.
I sold my silvers but I still have the golds. I am thinking about getting out of them though.
