Well RATS!!!! I was wanting to do some experimenting myself, I want to play with some cornish Delaware crosses and see how they grow and how they taste!!! I know a guy that has some that he shows so may try to get some from him, If everyone backs out on the birds at poops, I would possibly be interested if I have any Money left!!!! LOL !!! Lynn

Well Monty.... On your say so... I let the sqeak family out for a stroll this afternoon....Mrs. Squeaky was so happy! One of her kids fell into a hole in a cinder block and I had to get him out....I can tell you from personal experience (i.e. wearing a banty hen) that you don't want to mess with one of Mrs. Squeaky's kids!! Good heaven's what a cacaphony! Anyhow, the big girls went out to free range and a couple of them came in to see what the ruckus was all about... and they didn't mess with Mrs. Squeaky either....

So here's some pics of the family out for their stroll. Thanks Monty, for all the help for a greenhorn broody hatcher..... Maybe some day I'll get the hang of this stuff....

Out for a stroll in the yard..

Such cute pictures, Henny!

I'm done with the hen house and have moved the peeps inside. Will post photos soon - maybe tomorrow in the Coops & Runs forum. I just don't want to go out there and see it again right now. (and I don't care if I never see another paint brush, ever.)

HennyP, don't read this next:
I might bring a couple of big fake tarantulas to keep Teach away from stuff at POOPS if he becomes a problem - getting into things, tasting too much, etc...
.....I'm just sayin'....

Okay HennyP, you can look now.
Greybear, I'll bet my dad knows your dad. I'm a preacher's kid, too - and my dad is in the OK Panhandle. You'll be at POOPS, right? All us PKs (bethinoklahoma, et. al.) should get together and cause some trouble...We can smile angelically and blame it on the "other kids."

I think I remember someone mentioning Name Tags. Do you think we'll need some? Maybe to put our screen names on?

OK, a couple of things,

1) We have too many GB's on this board. Since Graceful Bantams was here first, she will be GB and Greybear23 will be BG23.

2) GB23, how much of that apricot wood do you have? If you can spare it, I'd take a gob of it.

3) Someone talked about driving almost to Houston for a few rabbits. I once saw a boat that I liked for sale on line, in Clear Lake, IA ( right on the MN line). I called the guy and made the deal and the wife and I drove up there the next day. We stayed in KC on the way back to play at the casino, then on home the next morning.

OK, that's as high as I can count so I'll put anything else I can think of in another post.

Hey Stimp, I sure like your Samuel Adams quote. So, are you going to go to the tea party at the state capital on April 15th? I think Gerald & I may go but it's the same day as when my daughter is supposedly scheduled for her c-section. I hope they can reschedule my daughter or actually, I hope she goes into labor and has my first and favorite grandbaby before April 15th!

If not, maybe I can be both places that day.

We used to go all the time when we live in KC, I hated it up there..I had a truckdriving job where I got to come to OK 2 times a week.. that made it bearable but for only 3 years..

Stimpy, sorry just picked up a little bit, like a double arm load from a lady that had a tree die out, I told Al I would cut it up in Ten inch pieces and bring it for smoker wood, so if there is any left over you are welcome to it, I have a friend that might have some extra so if he does I'll bring you what I can to Poops,
CityClucks, got your pm, we will get together at Poops, will ask my dad if he knows your dad!, Lynn

GB23,

Thanks. I'd like to have some for my cooker here at the house.

Don, I had to work KC alot too when I was on the road for Worldcom. I hated it then and I hate it now. We worked Chicago, Des Moines, KC, Omaha, Denver & San Antonio. I stayed as far away from KC and San Antonio as I possibly could as much as I could. I hid out in Denver as long as possible. I do love those Rocky Mountains.
