I hate to change the subject with the weather and fire and all.. I hope everyone is okay.. We didn't get much here in Tulsa, just a sun shower for about 5 mins and the sun is out with winds blowing.. well you know...

So I hear (and read) that there is an event coming up this month on the 25th. Can someone give me more details and to where? and times?

If I did this right:

Hello again huntermett. I posted this on your newbie thread, too.
We're having a get-together April 25 at the East Oklahoma City KOA - near Choctaw on I-40. We're calling it the People Of Oklahoma Poultry Swap - POOPS! Link to the KOA is at the top of this page: https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=13227

I think they said that they found that guy and he's fine....the girls are now out jumping on the trampoline....only in Oklahoma!

Wow, I'm just now seeing the fires in choctaw and the houses that have burnt down on our news....I hope you all over in that direction will be ok...keep an eye out.

Anyone east of me...keep your eyes out too...the storms are not nice that just went over us.

Oh gosh hope all is OK with this fire and storms. i didnt get a hold of Monty, said he was on the phone. I did leave a message. We as in me and mine are for now out of any danger until the wind changes direction. I am south of the fires right now. Will be a long night tonight. Please all stay safe.

I would just let the broody hen have her old eggs again. It was nice and warm yesterday so even a 3 hour cool down shouldn't have too much of a negative result.

You were certainly prophetic regarding fires and wind this morning. I have been watching MWC burning on the TV for the past 2 hours. Hope it doesn't swing your way. Stay safe.

Good heavens... I leave for a day and all hell breaks loose with y'all. Sonya...thank God you are OK.....Monty.... my prayers are with you and your neighbors over there... and yes... I do want my dirt back.... This day was horrible out here.... we had a blowing dust deal... they told folks with respiratory problems to stay indoors.... Al, how is it your way? was worried about you as well.....Poor hens...all their feathers are outta place.... I bought 4 little grey silkie peeps today at Atwoods... They are in Mrs. Squeaky's coop in another brooder. I am worried about weather for tomorrow.... They are saying zang storms...70%. Dang peeps give me an ulcer... but, boy are those silkies sweet.... they sit on me and everything. Going to take pics tomorrow i hope... maybe even tonight. I'm worried about us all..... nothing like a little stress to liven things up.....

Teach... how's it your way?

The wind is blowing 50 miles an hour to nothing and my grandson is about to bug me to death, wanting to go get chicken eggs. I think the chickens can have their eggs until tomorrow when the wind calms down, but I guess we are going to brave the outdoors. I was blown backwards earlier this evening - I am going to have to tie a rope around his waist so I can catch him when he flys across the yard.

Evening all. Sounds like things are hoppin in Okla! Made the national news with the fires. Looks like the storm front will hit us later tonite or in the morning.
Henny. Bucksnort is in Tennessee. Just before you get to Nashville on I 40.
BigOkie you sure must have a good market to be able to move that many birds! How are going to Lousiville? If you go I 40 then I 65 north you will go right past us. Maybe I could buy you a coke while you gas up!
Fixed up my brooder today and took chicks from two silkie moms. Its been to cold and damp so I thought I'd better get them a little warmer and dryer with the storms comming. Also the hens will start setting again quicker.
Sorry for hooging the board with such a long note. You all take care watch those winds and fires!
