We sure did miss you there Henny, we talked about you, all good of course. Maybe next time you will be able to make it. Lynn and I really enjoyed the drive there even in the rain. Ok next weeks auction is Jones, Blanchard is not till the 23rd. and starts at 4. Got it right out of the horses mouth, he stood beside me most of the night.

Is the Chupps auction every other weekend also, or the 1st and 3rd weekend or how ever that works. I would like to go to that one next and maybe all you guys and gals up that way would be there.

There were alot of sales and swaps in our area yesterday and everyone I talked to said that there were hardly any people there and stuff went extremely cheap I know that it did at the sale that I attended.

1st weekend in June I am hoping to be in Missouri. I hope to go to dang it forgot the name of the big swap there. Brain dead I think. Still in awwwwwwww over some of the prices.

I think so, I really had a reason to take him to the auction, his mouth fell open all night at how much them birds were going for. Now he will be making me separated pens so we have pure bloods, and build me a giant turkey pen. 49 bucks for a young hen turkey...............just WOW.

Chicks were about average on price, I sold a doz of 1 week old BYS for 90 cents each. Wanted to take the 4 week olds but they looked like they had been drug thru the mud. Will take them to Jones next week. May have to borrow Nana's fang dangled bird dryer and give these guys a bath.

You missed a good one, we had us a cut up time at the sale barn, but then again we all sit together so having a good time can't be helped.

I know AL, I always miss out on the good stuff. I am hoping Chupps will get a good turn out next month. I am sure DH thinks I have lost my mind.

Been meaning to ask you, does you wife or daughter like your chickens or do anything with them?

When I first got them of course they thought everything was so cute and things like that, they would sit in the coop and chatter and hold chickens. Then they kind of tappered off, now that I am hatching they seem into it again. I caught my DD with a chick sleeping in her lap while on the computer the other day, my DW is starting to become more involved, she will feed if I get home late. But mostly if we go to the coop together she will do the fun stuff, collect eggs feed treats and have fun while I lug feed buckets and fill waterers LOL.
