Hi everyone
I'm still alive & kicking, but trying to recover from a summer cold or flu or something. It is entirely weird to have chills & sore throat, cough & congestion in this summer heat. I've been trying to keep up with everyone here, but whenever I think of posting anything, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining about how I feel with this darn cold I can't get rid of ... the horrible heat wave we're all dealing with ... and work ... and, well I need to stop complaining
We live in the most wonderful place in the world and have the greatest people
I just wish we could all get together tonight and have another POOPS fest to make everyone feel better with the fellowship and plenty of ice tea & other refreshments including watermelon and home made ice cream!
Gerald and I had the pleasure of meeting Ke_Ben and his son today, but was rushed trying to get everything fed & watered before leaving for work. I sure wish we had had more time to visit and wish it weren't so hot!
I finally got a Sears repairman to show up for my broken washing machine. Let me tell ya folks, I don't recommend those newfangled expensive front load washers! My washer has been having "intermittent" failures, which are due to a faulty relay. The repairman says it's showing "communication errors". Of course, my 1 year warranty has already expired
Anyway, after waiting for 2 weeks to get a repairman, I find that it'll cost $380 for them to repair the electronic problem. I told him that I doubt I'll get it fixed after hearing from so many other people that have had problems with the front load washers. I asked him what type he had and he said top load. Well, as soon as this washer stops all together, I guess I'm going back to buy an old reliable top loader! Too bad I had to waste $70 for a repairman to tell me that.
I hope to go to Blanchard on Saturday if I don't get told I have to work Saturday night. We have lots of birds I'd like to sell, but with this heat wave, I think prices will be terribly low. I'll be happy just to go & visit fellow auction addicts.
Teach, you'll for sure have to visit when you get to the OKC area & see if we have any bantams you're interested in.
