i was looking at some of the recent threads and there is one about the michigan right to farm act..... anybody gets a chance take a look.... you talk about a poultry friendly state... says no city, township or zoning laws can keep you from keeping chickens because state law cannot be overidden ( spelled right? ) pretty cool ... a shame more states haven't taken this kind of stand.... i've got to get some sleep.... everybody have a great weekend....

Stimp thats funny. It reminds me of my mother-in-law. Every morning she walks into the room and before anyone says anything, she gives this evil little chuckle, like shes saying "I survived the night and I'm still here so get ready!"Makes you just cringe at the thought of what the day is going to be like. At least you say it to be funny,I'm pretty sure she says it just to be evil!;lol.

thats funny...I may have to use that line....
did you all know poison sumac is nasty. I had
it bad and the two little girls did as well. Last
night as I dug my legs I looked up a home cure.
Huge list.. I did the Purell Hand Sanitizer. Stung in
a good way and today I sware its BETTER.... Alot
better in fact... THe list has bleach, pin-sol kind of crazy things.
Do any of you all use something like this?

My son ended up with poison ivy last month. I also looked online for home remedies. I found one that used bananas. Take the banana peel and rub the inside over the rash. It took the itch away for a long time and dried and healed the rash within a week. I took two bananas, cut off the ends then cut them in half. I then peeled the banana half into a total of eight pieces of peel for each banana. I put the extra peels in a Ziploc bag and put them in the fridge. They turned black but were still good. This gave him a chance to take care of the itches himself. It it started inching he would rub some on. Trash the peel after it has been used to avoid cross-contamination and spreading. He had stopped itching in three days and was healed within a week. I used this remedy because we always have bananas on hand. This was his first time with poison ivy. We kept his arm bandaged with a roll of gauze so it would not spread. No one else in the house got it. I know my husband is allergic but my daughter and myself have never been exposed. Good luck.

ETA: That is the same website I used. I just went to the kitchen supplies list.

Good Morning, Question and problem. This morning, a single Guinea is trying desperately to merge with my small flock of chickens. It is alone and afraid. Any suggestions as I do not wish to lose my flock because of some unknown disease it might bring in. It will not be chased off at this time.

Thanks.

Morning all :
I plan to make my monthly appearance at the Cement auction today, I do know of several Okies that will be there. The bad thing is I don't really need anything is that bad??.

I had a neighbor's dog problem. He didn't kill anything but he sure liked chasing them. I was standing at the backdoor with my .22 rifle and wearing my pope's hat so I wished him luck in the next world and "delivered him from evil". Then I delivered him back to my neighbor.

I'm much better now.
