My sister did too. My daughter has the whole series so she rereads it often (when she's not watching Naruto, reading Shonen Jump magazine, reading Dan Brown's books, etc... )

Well I gotta head back to town today. In all the excitement over the sick pullet and worrying about what to treat with, I forgot everything I needed in town except the meds. My cats, ferrets, and dogs are all out of food. I suppose I should go pick some up.

On a brighter note, the sick girl no longer has a runny nose. However, her eye doesn't look any better. I suppose it will take a few days for it to show any improvement.

I managed to get almost all my baby birds outside yesterday. They were moved to the heated coop and all survived the night. All that is left inside is the little Serama and the three Button Quail. I have EE eggs headed into lockdown tonight.

I hope everyone has a great day. I will be checking back in throughout the day. At some point I have to go into the office and get some work down. I love being able to make my own hours. I didn't go to work at all last week because I was sick.

I think Shawnee is a poultry show that several of us are going to, some are showing but others (myself) are only going to watch, see the chickens and our chicken friends. You should come and meet us!

Ha faerie - one trip down one row at a poultry show like Shawnee and you will be well on your way to "broke in"! The Tulsa State Fair show was my first, and it was really cool. I don't know much about all the different breeds, but believe me, all the Okies I've met have graciously answered all my dumb questions - you have nothing to worry about!

Hey, man! It was my second chicken auction, gimme a break!

I still take it with me, I just leave it in the car and consult it when needed. For insurance, so I know I'm buying the kind of bird the guy in the front says I'm buying.

Besides, the Cement auctioneer isn't all that helpful in that regard.

Audience member: "What kind of chicken is it?"
Auctioneer: "A white one!!"

Yeah, real helpful.

I don't have a single reference to showing, so I have no idea how to do that. Plus, I'm not even sure my girl is interested in showing. We'll see...

LOL Yeah Jim he cracks me up sometimes, they do tend to miss name allot of breeds, and that hurts everybody,Thats why I advocate labeling cages and things like hatching eggs. Carla & Gerald do a great job of this with real nice pre printed labels and fact sheets attached to all of there cages and cartons.

Or I prefer to have a couple of my friends named Little Vito & Frankie Da Nose to quietly whisper in the auction rats ear, we are watching YOOZZ guy's LMAO. kinda like a BYC covert Op.
