Okay, I have some questions about how table shows work.

How many birds can a 4-H member show per (whatever such as class, breed or variety)?

Do they have showmanship or is it included with each entry?

I've been lookin over photos of these modern games and to me they just look odd. Maybe when I see them in person I'll think differently but I dunno, those long legs just set me back a bit. I'm not sure why the developers of modern games would have went for the long legged look, is there a purpose??

I have seen this several times. It still amazes me. However, my husband couldn't figure it out.

It is easy for me because that the way I type, the other way seems odd. I wore out spell check so now my friends just read what I post out loud and they get it every time.

shidalgo - The Petco in Norman has had a Meyers for a long time. It is such a sweet and pretty bird, I've wanted it forever. But hubby ironically doesn't like birds, so I compromised for another Budgie.

luvs2garden - Cute picture of the Cochins!

Mallen - Your duck hen is smiling!

Who's complainin about livin in eastern OK??? After spending the summer in the panhandle, I want to live there! SO peaceful, and everyone was so nice... Too bad there's no where to work. Lol

Anyone ever try this? This is what I'm doing instead of studying for tomorrow's midterm. Lol

We just got them for show. They are striking little birds that some mistaken for something other than a chicken.

According to Feather Site:

"The Modern Game was developed strictly for exhibition, rather than utility traits. Nevertheless, they are decent layers, and can make good broodies, as well."

TJ's Na-Na :

This will be a TABLE SHOW. That's where they call for a
class and the kids carry their birds to the tables, handle their
birds, show their birds, and actually interact with the judges.
This is the way we do it in Cherokee County and we think it's
good for the kids to actually show their involvement with their
birds, instead of throwing it in a cage and see what happens.

I thought I'd heard it was a Table Show, but I wasn't sure. I think it will be exciting

The first one of those I've ever been to!
