Was it a family vacation?
You gave me that "final push" to change mine, too!

What do you all think? Four years of poultry fourms and I've always used pictures of my Hamburgs as my picture... but now that they are gone..... well, I though this would be a good update to make.

Hey Al....Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your eye. I guess it was all that work we've been putting you and the guys through. Too much eye strain for one roo to watch over 8 hens!!!!LOL

Just kidding....seriously take care of those eyes. I would rather lose anything than my eyes. Got to be able to see my beautiful grandbabies. Keep us informed.

I just about cracked up reading the posts last night. I had to abandon to make and decorate a cake for a baby shower. As I was reading them I thought how much fun all had out of just being silly like we used to do as kids. If outsiders were reading it they would think we were nuts. Anyway, you made me laugh and I can never get enough of that.

I have been soaking in a wet cold compress, and have gotten enough of the gunky crusty stuff off enough to open it, it looks bad blood red and tearing something awfull. I have medicated it with some really high speed steroids and antibiotics as the doc said, it at least is feeling a little better, I just have to keep after it for a few days.
Thanks Donna and everybody for your concern Ole AL is a tough cookie, I have a good nurse here at home she has been doctoring it for years for me and she's pretty good at it.

Just now read this post--have been off line a couple of days while having new flooring installed.

Cages in the sales room at Shawnee are rented for a small fee, as someone has said. However, to assure you get your birds in, you should request and pay for them ahead of time, as they usually fill up. Contact Steve Jones at [email protected]. for information and/or to reserve cages. I think your birds are supposed to be NPIP certified, just as your show birds must be, but am not sure of that. Steve can give you all the information you need. Others sell their birds oudoors from their vehicles, and I doubt there is any regulation on that, but it can be pretty cold the second week in December.

Just an FYI for anyone that is planning to show at Fayetteville, AR,
November 7th..................

I just got off the phone with the guy at the "only" RV Park in
Fayetteville. Just happens that this weekend is a conference
football game, Arkansas/South Carolina. There are NO RV
spaces and NO motel, hotel rooms within 45 minutes of
Fayetteville !!!! He says there will be 100,000 extra people
in Fayetteville for the weekend............Gees.................

We can coop-in Saturday morning from 6:30 to 9:00. I'll
have to sleep in the truck in the driveway to be outta here
that early. Will be about 1 1/2 hours for us.

Am threatening to call an old high-school classmate that has
an Athletic Store at Fayetteville and see if he'll let us park the
5th wheel in his parking lot for Friday night.....I've got several
oil lamps...........LOL

If anybody else has any ideas and plan to be there, give a
holler.

Have a better one than I am today.

Grace, you certainly selected a fine picture to use as your avatar. He was a fine looking boy in the pictures you posted earlier, but this angle really sets him up regally.
