Sorry Shidalgo, come home to find feathers everywhere. Didnt see her do it but sure it was my daughters red winny dog. Somehow got out of the barkyard and killed my little banty hen, she was an excellent broody hen even if she couldnt cover to many eggs.

I'm sorry that that happen to you its even harder when it's a dog you know..
Ok ill talk. Tommarow morning me and the kiddo are picking up 4 blue cochin bantam hens a blue roo and a splash roo. We are also getting a bunch of mixed eggs free and some turkey eggs but i dont have high hopes for them. They are bbw, the lady said her hen is sitting on 6 eggs and she saw the turkeys mount. I figure it wont hurt to try for a few days and see if anything developes. She also has some beltvilles and narragansettes I may try to talk her out of. I am picking up some laying hens while im up there also, my daughter will be with me and you aint seen an enabler till you've met my little boss. Oh and tommarrows payday so ill have a pocket full of cash an poultry running around everywhere thats for sale. Cant get into to much trouble now can i?
I wish I could have turkeys... however, I'm a chicken rebel and have to make sure that I don't call attention to myself/my chickens. Turkeys are, unfortunately, very loud.
