I am not totally sure on Blanchards schedule, but the further you get into the colder months the leaner the pickins are, if ya know what I mean. Most folks have pretty well thinned their flocks or spring hatching culls by then. but they still should have plenty I'm betting.

Got to spend some time with my 3 month old grand daughter yesterday, gosh seems like just yesterday I was holding her mother. Oh yea Papa has been bitten again. He got to hold her and oh no, she already has him whipped. I can see it now she will be 2 and running the tractor just like our grandson.

I'm up... my sister showed up on my doorstep at 7:53 this morning to spend some time with me before she drove back to Arlington TX. I miss my sis

Anyway, got a bright idea to knit another washcloth. Just finished one last night/this morning... think I'd be over knitting cotton. I got a bunch for a steal though, so need to make stuff with it and I have the patience of a flea, hence the washcloths.

Well, that and designing coops in my head. LOL

I always wash and sanitize my hatching eggs. I dip them in a 10% bleach solution which is 1 tablespoon per gallon. Then I let them air dry. I use the same on the incubator too in a spray bottle as I use the dry method of incubation.
