Hi, I am back. Been in and out. I don't get the computer much in the evening even if I am home. I am not sure what I am ordering if anything.

Graceful: I have been told that Metzer is good place to get ducks. Have you ordered from them before? Just for FYI I think Ideal is running a special on ducks if it hasn't ended already.

Cammie: Your chance at fame and your left on the cutting floor. Sorry you didn;t make it on television. Maybe you could train one of your birds to tap dance or play the piano and the you could be on "Is this a Great State or What."
Did you see the one yesterday where the pet bobcat uses a toilet.

Okie: I tought you were moving this past weekend. Do you need a place or some cages to keep your birds until you get the new pens in place.

Monty - I would be glad to make an avatar for you if I just had a picture or two that you wanted to use.
Thanks. I ordered from Metzer before and I absolutely loved them. After a mix-up in the mail that wasn't even the hatchery's fault, I still got a phone call from the owner himself and they replaced all the ducklings we lost - for free. And they actually had better quality (health and show wise) birds than you would expect coming from any hatchery!

Cammie - Yes, the Blue Rocks are Bantams.
And I had emailed Metzer Farms before and asked them if they ever sold Call duck; she said that used to, but the mortality rate was too high during shipping for those petite little ones.
I have a pair of Blue Swedish, and I like them. I especially can't wait to hatch their babies because I can get some Black Swedish because of how the blue-gene works.
Depending on what comes in the assortment, I am wanting Rouens and more Indian Runners

Yeah , Cheryl I am so glad you decided to join. I love this group. I am still on several other boards but this is my favorite. Welcome aboard and I look forward to chatting with you.
I will put your name on the Okie list. There are usually people here that are looking for birds.
I know of a few, which shall remain nameless that share your love for runnner ducks. If you still have some for sell let us know.
Again welcome and I am excited you are here.

Nice website too! I'll look through it more when I'm not rushing in my lunch break.

Grace - We checked the eggs last night, and most of them look fertile! One of the d'Uccle eggs is very developed, but I think only one of the Hamburgs is going to make it. I will check again in a couple of days, its so hard to tell at first.

Monty, I don't know if yo saw the avatar I did for EGH, but that was actually from two pictures, so if you have a few pictures that you would like me to use specific birds from each, I can do that too.

Cammie, I'm so glad that they really turned out to be fertile

Anyone know where the hatchery in Yukon is? Or what its called anyway??

My grandmother's old bator dropped temp last night, and I couldn't get it back up. I bought a new bator this morning, hopefully the eggs will be ok.

Egh, I've seen the 1x1 wire at Atwoods, but it might of been 2 ft rolls instead of the 3 ft high. I think it was around $66 a roll. I'll probably be in there this weekend, I can look again.

Hey everyone Atwoods said they were getting their chicks in in the middle of Feb!!

Country, what kind of incubator did you get? I'm thinking about buying one. I'm going to look at Country Store.

When my son was in preschool back in the 80's, we went on a field trip to a hatchery. I was thinking it was over by El Reno. They had wild animals there that couldn't live in the wild, cause people had had them as pets at one time. I would love to find that place again and go back there. Anyone know where that might be?

No, it wasn't the Wilds. The Wilds was the coolest place though!! I had forgot about it!! This was some place out by El Reno, I might could contact the wild life department and find out. They had rooms of incubators, seems like they were hatching quail eggs.
