Thanks Shawn! Prayin here!

Poor Teach...the old boy has had a rough patch of road recently...the fixer in me is going crazy! I just keep praying for him......

Just got done typing Mike's Sunday School lesson for next Sunday. It is so hard...since I take medications that screw up motor skills...I can't type anymore!!!

I hunt nad peck, but was always fast....then i figured out I could "copy and paste " the scriptures from an online Bible resource....DUH!!! Mike is a scripture hound! That would have made doing the last few studies a lot easier!! So I can save a little time there....

I'm doing a lot of that myself. I still have to unload my trailer and work on the lean-to projects some more. I hope this weather holds out for just a few more days.

I set 8 eggs to check the fertility of this young rooster and they are starting to hatch a bit early. Out of 8 eggs, I have 2 on the ground and 4 more pips. I'm pretty happy with that.

I just got the ABA Bantam Standard today. I've been thinking since the Wood Duck isn't recognized in the APA that they had to show as an unrecognized breed.

What do ya know, the Wood Duck is recognized by the ABA! I'm so excited. I would of brought Woodie to our county fair if I had known he could of competed with all the Calls! The Mandarin Duck is also recognized which means I have an excuse to get a pair now.

Domesticated ducks are irritating to me with all their loud quacking. The other cool water fowl that I like are the Egyptian Geese. (Yes, I know they are mean.

Why am I draw to the difficult birds??? They are the really pretty ones though.

If anyone knows where to find Egyptian Geese, please let me know.

I'm collecting eggs out of a pen, from my fancy gold wheaten cubalaya and the hens he is covering. I'm changing it all up soon though. He's not completely finished regrowing feathers so I don't even know if he's very fertile right now. Gonna separate all my brood cocks from the hens for a few weeks and then put them all back together again.

We had some when I was growing up. My Mom used to have to drive us to the end of our road to get picked up by the school bus. My hen would fly onto the top of our home and wait until Mom got back everyday before she would get down.

They are very intelligent.
