Goodness, can the critters leave the chickens alone! Seems like they keep going for the good ones. Are you going to be hunting tonight?

Well I know I am gonna be working on the traps today and make sure they are functioning.

It was my fault. He had a watery eye on Sunday so I had isolated him and was treating him. I started to move him back into one of the breeding pens yesterday but thought I'll come back and do it later. The pen he was hen just had a simple loop over latch and it looks like coonboy had no trouble getting in.

Lesson here is that procrastination kills. I f I had moved him when I thought about it then I would still have him. I still have some good roosters but he was gonna be the number one guy come spring. The Burt Reynolds/ Tom Selleck/ Brad Pitt of my Wellie program.

OK...Who was picking on me for cleaning my coop?....

Throw in that I would really like to see her again and that Madison is dying to see your daughter!!! Plus maybe she will show for 4H so this would give her an idea of what she is going to be doing!!!! Come on Q you have to use logic with a woman! LOL!

I am home taking a break, don't usually get to do that on chilli day but it is a good thing, got a silkie that seems to be having some trouble......hope she makes it, Madison said if she could show a silkie that would be the one because she is so gentle. Figures.

Looks like you guys were having fun with smilies. Les see what you started. LOL.

Have a good evening everyone.

Everyone who is using those cute little smillies, they are great!

Betsy, you might try posting your question about the Blue Golden Duckwing birds on the genetics part of this site... we have a lot of poultry experts on this thread, but I don't really know of anyone that "specializes" in genetics. You do have a good question, by the way! (ETA: I see CubanLongtails Tara gave you an answer!)

Sherri, yeah I only know that I've talked to that guy before, and he had some connection to the Sebrights. He (Mr. Esteps) does raise nice birds, so if they 'were' his, that may be even better for you! ha! Did the birds all settle in well?

Beth, I just want to know how you turned Monty, Roy, Q, and Al into smilies!?

Les, hens that lay for ten+ years is really saying something for the nakennecks!

EngieKisses, those OEGBs look nice (to me!). What is the trouble with the BBR pair? They look pretty enough!
