We made deer chili last week & I am still eating on some of it!! Love chili !! I also made potato soup! I love soups & stuff that can really warm you up.
What a long day....Just got done with hens...usually do them in the morning...left early today and took my mom a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. When I Was in Lowes they had these cute little table top cut live trees....So I took it with all her favorite ornaments. I took a string of clear and a string of colored lights and let her pick then we had pie and decorated her tree. It was really fun. She seemed cheery until right before I left... then she seemed to drag out...maybe too much excitement...or pie...
So now I am sitting here with a glass of Jeremiah's Red....y'all make a special trip to Stroud when you are in Shawnee, those of ya that like wine...go to StableRidge and get a bottle...excellent for these cold winter's nights....
I was laughing at everyone's stories...I actually sold a dime bag of oregano when I was in the 8th grade. Lucky I wasn't killed!!
Stimpy: "Hey Santa, pass us that bottle, will ya?" Band and album to win bonus points....
Teach you are such a Sweet Pea....
Keep your head down.
I was missing Cammie today too, hoping she was just busy and not feeling poorly.....
Les, frozen chicken crap has taken on a whole new light...I've asked Santa for a slingshot for Christmas!!!!
I need turkeys from Carla, and a blue Ameraucan roo from Tara.....
One of my wheatens is on the failure to thrive list. I tried a different wormer on it today... that has to be what is wrong with it. It is eating like a horse and running around some, but is skinny and light.... I hate worms..... Other than that everyone is cruising along....
I'm pretty sure I have a crowing hen...weirdest thing...no comb, no wattles, no spurs...the rooster doesn't do anything to it... but it's really demonstrative...then my big purple hen has adopted all my babies I think....My hens need a shrink....
Well Hello to all my poultry friends, dropping in to say that I have to work Saturday and will not get to attend the Shawnee show, however, Dakota will be coming with a friend of ours whom is showing pigeons. Also we had a litter of 12 piggies born yesterday, lost two but the other ten are doing fine, momma is taking good care of them. I am still getting about 1-3 eggs a day. Have lost about half a dozen chickens to this cold weather in the past two weeks. I hope all are well and I will truly miss you all Saturday. Be safe, Lynn

Hey Lynn glad to hear from you. Sounds like Dakota is 100% again.
Sorry about the critter losses, this weather is hard on birds but it's good the sow only lost two. She sounds like a keeper cause any more they just don't make good moms. Too much man type interferance.

I was doing some family research on the web site for the Kingfisher county historical society and found the info on the first state show and this law popped up as a link I think. Any way I thought it was cool.
Teach : Ok the deal is done, I got your birds home safe and sound, you have thank Michael for doing such a good job on selecting some real beauties, those Pigeons are very cool looking. there are 5 -6 different breeds of pigeons and 3 breeds on the banty's.
