"Gort, Klatu Barada Nikto"

Our Christmas morning plans are still on. My kids look for any reason to get out and drive in this stuff. I was the same way until just a few years ago. Besides, the daughter and her family are leaving at about 8:00 tomorrow evening to drive to Phoenix for a baseball tournament on the 27th. I love this weather.

I've been trying to get everyone taken care of for the snow. I remember the forecast saying that the snow wouldn't stick because it was 73 degrees yesterday. I just took shelter to the one of our dogs and by the time I was walking back to the house my tracks were already gone in the snow. I felt like I was back in a sand storm. Definitely keep your head down or have goggles. The only outside animal on my place that looks to be doing okay is the Siberian Husky. I feel so sorry for the animals outside but I already have brought many of them in to the living room.

My mother's side of the family lives in Iowa. I saw they are supposed to get up to 24 inches of snow. I think they got 4 feet of snow in one storm after Thanksgiving. If our winter keeps going this way, she may have to use that second floor door that opens into nothing. (I've been told it is there in case there is too much snow in front of the two regular doors.)

Hmmm, I'm wondering out the persimmon discussion now...

I pick up my girls tomorrow from their father's. First on the list is making a snow woman! Of course, we might go ice skating again too. My blisters have just about healed up from last time.

Hey Q , that rabbit hunting sure sounds good. Do you use beagles? I believe that is my very favorite hunting, followed by squirrel. Can't do it around here. To many houses and if you can find woods or fields they are always off limits.I give up the turkey and ham tomorrow for some fried rabbit and gravy!lol

Buck I believe the kids have built in anti-freeze. It never seems to bother them like it does us. I used to love the cold but now my fingers get cold and I'm done for!
My pullet golden neckslayed their first eggs today!

Doodle I dont have any beagles usually hunt the brush piles etc. use take my .22 pistol and do some squirrel hunting while I am at it, love walking through the woods after a good snow very peaceful and relaxing...
