Teva got a gently used set of coveralls for the grandduaghter at the Jones livestock auction for three dollars. She has picked up some for herself at around 5 dollars.

Farm auctions are also a good source of supplies.

Its not the getting stuck that worries me, it is other drivers that get in a hurry. I don't want any wrecks. My kids are 16, 17, and 17. They need a little more driving experience before they are set free with road conditions like this.

Monring jarvis! My DD had her alarm clock go off but she isn't even here. Got any plans for today??? We were suppose to go to another christmas dinner/get together but mst likely will just stay home.

My mother was going to have her Christmas yesterday but with the roads iced over she figured it was best to cancel. She lives between 2 hills and when it gets slick you cant get up them. So we are doing Christmas at her house today at 1.

How are your chickens doing with this weather? I had to rescue a younger golden sebright rooster yesterday morning. He had ice all over his wing and tail feathers. I brought him in and stuck him in a warm towel. He didnt move for 2 hours. He finally came around and started drinking and eating. he seems to have a sneeze but other than that acts fine I put him in a pen in the garage for now.

So far no trouble with the chickens. They mostly stayed in the coops yesterday as the pens were covered with snow. The younger ones seemed confused by the white stuff. LOL. I hope it warms up alittle today but I don't think it will.

Well sounds like yours is doing better than mine. Friday, when we had all that wind one of my pens top came off, it was my bantam pen. They are all in the garage now. I have a double car garage and there is no room for a car due to all the chicken that are in there.

LOL, yeah if I had a garage it would have chickens too. I am only worried about the younger ones from POOPS. I need to get them in a bigger area with a better shelter....I wish they were big enough to go in with the flock.
