My mom's da bomb
I pick her up after work and drive her home (she doesn't drive for medical reasons). On the way home, she asks to stop by Walmart, so I do. Then she drug me down the wild bird food aisle and said she heard Dad and I talking about how I wanted to buy bird seed and cracked corn to keep the chickens warm, but that I was really low on money. So she proceeded to drag these bags off the shelf to flip them over and read the ingredients, then bought three different kinds so I could mix them together in a large rubbermaid tote and feed it to the chickens since it's going to be so cold.
She said "What kind of Nana would I be if my grand-chickens didn't get good food?"
Then we rounded the corner and she snagged two parrot toys and threw THEM in the cart (the conures have their toys rotated, but these are different than the ones I have for them) and then went to the line and checked out.
She also refused to allow me to pay for ANY of it... and told me to make sure her grand-chickens get nice hot water at least twice a day.
This is one of the many many reasons why I love my mom...
