Welcome to a wonderful group of people who enjoy talking about poultry, acquiring poultry, hatching eggs and attending poultry auctions. Disclaimer: since some of us are addicted to the above, we tend to be enablers who will try to assist you in acquiring the same addictions. That said, tell us what kind of poultry you have or would like to have.

Sooner, since you had a headache for such a long time and now have a rash which has no logical explanation, I wonder if there is a connection between the two that you should ask your doctor about? Have you had any tick bites, come into contact with any wild rabbits, is the rash seeming to spread across your torso like shingles would spread? might not be poison ivy......

my parents thought i was crazy because i had such an interest for guns, there is mystique about them for me. How they operate and the sheer mechanics of it all, i read any book or magazine i could find, read the covers off or until they fell apart. I didnt get to shoot much at all maybe once a year when i lived in the city, we would go to the range in Lexington, when we would go to the country and look at houses i would take my BB gun. When we finally moved to blanchard i was 12 and asked almost everyday for a 22, dad said they shot too far, so i set out to research this myself and learned ballistics and other cartridge characteristics, i studied reloading manuals gun values and anything else i could get my hands on, at 16 he finally bought me a marlin 60 22 LR, i was only allowed to shoot on occasion as not to scare off the wildlife, and bought my own ammunition, and cleaned ritually. About the same time i started Machine Tool Technology at Mid-America Vo-Tech, to begin to learn about what i want to be one day and that is a Gunsmith, I was going to attend Murray state in Tishamingo but that didnt work out, however i did find out that almost everything i would learn there besides how to run a gun store i had learned at vo-tech, when i was 20 bought my my first rifle and shotgun, 21 bought my first of many handguns and when money allows i add to my investments, still not a gunsmith but its still my dream, still tinker and do what i can until i am able to afford a lathe and a mill.
But after all these years i finally found out that the resistance from my parents was due to they were scared that i would shoot up a school because they thought of my lust for guns as some sort of beginning to what those other kids did back then, but even then i could tell you the difference between me and them, they didnt respect the gun, its history, or its capabilities. I hate to think that if it hadnt been for their resistance i may have pushed more to become a gunsmith or become more involved in them.

Hey y'all,

I've finally got a few minutes to myself. I thought I'd try to read and catch up with all the news and what-not. And I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I was still around.

I think the headache was because us my insominac husband was waking me up at night even tho I wasn't actually waking up enough to know it. I knocked myself out two days in a row with PM & got over it. In conjunction with all the end of the year reports & tax stuff that I was straining my eyes with.

I'm pretty sure what I have is poision ivy. It looks like it and is only spreading where it is touching the skin of the other. Where it is at there is no way to keep that from happening. Today I am getting some relief. Just don't know how I got it. LOL.

I also need to get with you on Bee's soon....I have more questions.

Have you tried to find a compromise with him regarding the motorcycle? If he could show maturity in his behavior and worked hard all summer long with good labour and attitude that maybe you would consider it? I would hate for the kid to rebel and go ride on a friends bike and then something really happen because he was ticked off and wanted to make one's parents mad...

His reasons and I qoute " Mom, I want to be able to take myself places, like if I want to go somewhere I can just go" . I told him that I would gladly take him same as I already do, and he has 3 older siblings that take him places as well. He thinks he should be allowed to stay out til midnight or later and everything else that comes with a 16 year old or older. that is the purpose he wants it for.

not sure why they do them at 14 just know there are restrictions 250cc or less, mandatory helmets until 18, he would still have to pass motorcycle safety course to get licensed, i understand your concern but if he is diligant to learn and understand the possibilities of what could happen. its all about independence, same reason the middleaged man does it. maybe he feels he is a burden or feels unappreciated and needs to separate himself, as for him staying out late that would be a condition for his loss of said motorcycle as would limiting his miles, or certain days of the week. set boundaries as to his use. just some ideas

Sooner there could very well be a link to the headache and the rash
Please,Please have it checked out. Tick fever is one that has both and not always high fever but most of the time it does.

You Stimp!

My chickens clean up after the rabbits as well...before I had them together I would put some rabbit food in with my chicken mix...it was a good way tog et some green stuff into their system so the eggs would have more color....the yolk and such not the shell. No being able to let them run around a pasture I like dark eggs so i gotta supplement the greens part...

I would get a momo-cycle...but I am scared and my mommy told me no....so i want more guns!

b52fizzle - I had a deer rifle before I had a BB-gun! Didn't get my own .22 though until I was an adult and bought my own!
